Well the idea is very good!
Get a car that drives like a truck. Install the Lambo engine at the back. Change the suspension and steering rack from the Mustang with the one from the Lambo. And get rid of the hideous back. And just leave the Mustang bodykit like it was. And you got 1 heck of a car!

I own a G25, I see it everyday. I see the insides every 6 to 8 months when I clean and grease it. While driving, the wheel is all you see, so that's ALL you care about. Regarding gearing vs. belt, that's a matter of personal preference and environment (noise). Fanatec's new Carrera wheel has (spur?) gears btw.
