When i open Doom 3, it gives a error that my OpenGl functionality is limited. I've installed the latest 10.5 drivers but Task manager and EnditAll said CCC was running but when i tried to open it, it never did. so i tried 10.2 and in that one, the ATI technologies folder was created but not installed and neither were the Opengl drivers apparently.

Anyone with a similarly older card running in Windows 7 have working fully working drivers?

you should go back to the last supported drivers maybe... ati stopped supporting the x850 a while ago.
