well the Lacetti has gone and confirmed to not be replaced by a Cruze and James has said in an interview that the stunts will be toned down compared to past few series

you don't want a rwd car, most of the guest won't make it round the course without spinning, and a car with ESP and the like is out too cause the lap still has to look flamboyant in some way (understeeeeeer). I guess it will be something along the line of a Dacia Sandero, a Peugeot 308 or so, noting too tall, just a car that can take some beating and is cheap to fix.

They need some inline-3 Protons which sounds like a tumble drier filled with bricks.
