a dyno test could also be a very simple tool to get gear ratios right.

There's LFSTweak, it'll let you mess about with the cars' engine specifications, wheel sizes and a whole lot more. You can only use your creations offline though.

this would make finding a server you can race in alot harder, cause if you modify the engine and want to race someone with a normal engine, you will blow them out of the water
