Permanent Disconnects since Patch T
Hi everybody,

since any of the T-Patches I'm experiencing permanent disconnections from the server. I don't kinow about the S-Patch because I left it out. Thi discos come up every 10 to 20 minutes, no matter if I'm with other drivers or the only one on the server. I'm running T4 right now and so does the server. Seems like I#m not the only one having probs like that, though I couldn't find any further postings about this prob in this or in the 4Players Forum. When I asked there at least one more gamer reported to have the same problem since the update.
Does anyone have a suggestion find out more about that prob or even how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!
chris
Hi, it's me again.
On the german 4Players-Forum I found two more guys having the same problems since the update. Meanwhile I tried a complete clean new game installation, but still the discos appear every few minutes regardless which server I join. Today I want took my machine to my work place where I can try a different connection later on. Hopefully that helps... at the moment I simply cannot play LFS anymore...
Alot of people seem to be having this same problem. From my experience it is a crap connection.
use the freeware version of this software:
http://www.pingplotter.com/download.html

and try pinging google.com. let it run for a while and take note of the Packet Loss % under the PL% heading.

If you have packet loss of more than a few percent, then your line sucks, like mine does now

I get packet loss of at least 10% on several junctions usually. This can rise to as much as 80%

It sucks big-time seeing as my line used to be perfectly ok.
Thank you mrbogeyman! I just checked a few urls during the last two hours and only at one junction within the google-check I had a 10% loss. At all other adresses there seems to be no problem.
Meanwhile I tested LFS on my computer at another place/connection and had no discos... So it must be a prob with LFS and my line or the dsl router. I'll try on

EDIT:

I just took my dsl router out of the line and immediately the connection was stable like before the update. So I found the guilty one, lately...
