Doesnt have anything to do with the thread...but i was thinking about buying an iPod Touch 4 (newest generation). I don't need mobile internet (just wanna go online with the iPod at home), so would you think that it's worth buying?

And are 8GB enough?

Yea imo they`re worth it for sure.
And yes, I think 8 GB is enough, I have ALOT of apps and music on mine, still have like 3 more GB, and I dont think im gonna ever use it.
Oh, and before I forget, anyone have the game Helicopter, its SOOOO addicting. Or howabout cro-mag rally, I remember years ago I was addicted to it, just founf it yesterday in the app store, its awesome.
8 GB is not near enough. my 32 GB iPhone only has 6 GB free.

I have a 16GB Touch 1G and there is currently less than 5 GB left, but I download a lot of stuff on it...
Mh ok thanks so far for the answer.

Then I'm maybe gonna buy the 4g version with 8GB, thats enough for me.

well to be honest ipod touch's can last forever, especially if you just use it in ways with no risk.

so i would get a bigger one, and keep it for a lifetime. space is the biggest fault, and even with a cracked screen it still works perfect.

Ok, so say I have set up a playlist and have the songs I want. How would I customise where I want the song to start/end. Like say song x was 2 mins long, how would I start song x at 0:30 and end it at 0:50? I would ONLY want it to do that in the playlist, not in other playlists and my lis of all my songs.
Thanks,
zay
You can't. You can set a start/end time for a song in iTunes and it syncs to the device, but not for a specific playlist.
i would make a seperate audio file, and add it to just the playlist and not the other song you dont wanna hear. much easier, and a very quick job if you know how

apple (or even the jailbreak community) needs to make custom eq settings for your ipod

Sorry to bump one of my old, noobish threads, but I need help. So today I restored, as i had alot of shit on my iPod, and now I need to jailbreak again. So, does anyone have the 4.3.3. greenpois0n untethered jailbreak link? WITHOUT these stupid surbeys that require me to complete before i download?
Thanks,
zay

4.3.3 isn't jailbroken I don't think.

It's not a greenpoison JB then. It's a PwnageTool JB (which means you need to do a clean restore of your device).

Alright, I just did anyway:P Can I have a link please? It's untethered right? Edit: Thats for Mac. I'll use snowbreeze because I have windows. Thatnks for your help, though i may have problems again.

I hate this, idk why it has to be so complicated. So i downloaded my IPSW(Yes, I checked which 1 it was first) and it opened up winrar. Which file should I drag and drop into snowbreeze??
Thanks.
zay
because ipsw's are just a differently named .zip file, winrar can technically open it. You need to put the ipsw into snowbreeze I guess.
#43 - Zay
Ok, but how would I transfer the zip file to snowbreeze?
i gave up on jailbreaking, makes my lil' 8 gb slow, and my ipod is starting to act up anyways..

Hey guys!
Once again, I didn't want to start a new thread, so here goes.
The other night I was happily playing around with different sliders and boot logos and things on Cydia, and at that moment I realized it was time for a new font too.
I found a font I liked, downloaded it, then respringed my ipod. It respringed fine, so I went into Bytafont and changed my font. It needed to respring again, but this time, it wouldnt get past my custom bootlogo that I have had for ages.
I have tried EVERYTHING. I have tried countless times restarting it by holding both the sleep and home button, but that doesnt work, it just gets stuck in the same spot.
I have tried putting it into DFU mode, doesnt work.
I know I can fix this by putting it into recovery mode and restoring, but heres the problem.
Just recently I needed to install a new operating system due to a trojan on my computer.
So, I had to install everything again, including iTunes.
However, this new iTunes is the same version of iTunes, but is a differeent one, if you know what im saying. It has none of my legally downloaded music or apps that I got before I jailbroke, which I need for a number of reasons.

So, is there a way to fix my ipod without restoring and without iTunes?
Or, is there a way to get my iTunes i had before back?

Thanks for reading, and sorry for my atrocious writing, I wrote this quickly, and its a forum, not school

Zay
In iTunes, you can do: Store > Check for Available Downloads and it should give you all the legally downloaded apps and music. As for the iPod itself, if you tried a hard reset and still have not been able to boot, afaik, you'd have to restore it to factory settings.
You can ALWAYS boot into DFU mode, if it doesn't work, you're probably not following the guide correctly. When iTunes detect a device in DFU mode, it will offer a restore automatically

I have tried this for both my personal iTunes account and all of my family's. It doesn't matter what account I try, but I get "All purchases have been downloaded for this account."
Please help
