Anyone recommend a decent boombox?
Don't know how successful this will be, but I can try - I'm looking to buy a boombox that I can take outdoors and can run on batteries. Can anyone recommend a decent one for under £50?

The louder the better really, most I've looked at are one 1W RMS per speaker, I want, well.. more than that
Buy an old boombox most modern boombox should be called noise boxes, normally cheap 5 watt things, I've got one of these:

Cost me £4 from a boot fair, 40w, nice bass and works a treat despite being about 30 years old.

Running the thing costs more than what I paid; requires 10 D cells
Oh my god are we back in the 80's?
I'm probably one of the very few who ever had a "boom box".

Yeah, I'm thinking of looking on Ebay for something like that. A bit smaller though, I'm intending to take it to a festival or two and they generally won't let you take in huge stereos (plus, I'd have to carry it and it looks heavy )
iPhone with phat sound dock. Where it's AT.
