Battery problem?
Hey guys, just had a shock yesterday when I tried to charge up my laptop battery after a few hours use in school. I had no problems with it prior or in school and the problem popped up somewhat randomly to me.

Now the battery sees itself with full capacity at around 6Wh (should go 40) and refuses to charge anymore. Within Windows 7, it shows me 100% remaining and charging (but not charging at all) and also told me to replace the battery. It's a flashing battery icon with a 'X' alongside it.

I had not had any single problem before this. I'm not sure it's with the battery sensor embedded in the battery or the laptop itself. It has just past a year of use and over the warranty. Can anyone please advice me on this?

Thank you!
Charge it to 100%, unplug the power cable, and leave your computer on until the power cuts off (until the battery dies). I bet it will show 0% for a while until it turns off. Then plug it in again and turn it on. Let it charge and see what charge it gets to.
