Glad to be here guys.
Indeed rip goc. We all learned something from it :P
Last night Niko "HighRoad" Demec and I came into discussion about time zone differences and how they make it difficult for a more public based racer for himself to participate in the team. He has decided to move to a team with a fellow countrymen. We wish him luck in his future adventures at (Removed team name) and thank him for being honest with us. We are glad that it was an amicable breakup and that we will still be able to be friends.

Quote from Mustangman759 :

Today LLM celebrates its third year, the team was founded by Matt and Ray in 2009 and is continuing to grow today. The team has many aspirations and goals set for this year that we hope to accomplish. This among many is a great accomplishment for our team and we are extremely happy with our achievement today.
We also welcome our well spoken trial member

Well, was just reading through the thread and saw this post and realized that we had forgotten our birthday.

No need for a long post, but thanks to those who have been around this year and in the past it has been a lot of fun. Huge thanks to Cem Dalda, Remco Majoor, Tuomo Jussila, Nathan Lamothe, Mariusz, Pawel, Lithuanians, and the other bunch of members who do a lot behind the scenes in making the team a great environment (sorry if I missed anyone, it is too hot to properly think right now) and guest driver Ring for all the talent that they bring to our team or in Remco's case brought to our team when he was here.

Well, here is to four years old and another four!

I can't wait to see what the future holds and I am glad we are having fun racing.

Last Lap Motorsports Claims Victory at the ETV! Live Team Series in iRacing.com

After a long fought battle spanning 12 rounds, the Last Lap Motorsports trucks sponsored by NRT Game Servers, the Rev Media Hub, as well as associate sponsors Mercer Stitches and Tickler Computers took home the season championship over defending champions Super Speedway Cup Northern Union. The Super Speedway team was off to a quick lead after a string of consistent finishes. At Charlotte the Last Lap Motorsports trucks battled a timeout as well as an early incident, but was able to pull off a relatively good finish considering the full grid. At Dover the team was clearly the dominant team but after other teams made controversial two tire calls, Jimmie Jones was caught up in an incident ruining his chances of winning. Ray Kingsbury was the only driver on the lead lap but after tangling with another driver in the closing laps had to settle for a top ten. At Daytona SS North dominated with a 1st, 2nd, and 6th place finish and took the lead from their sister team SS South. Last Lap Motorsports was involved in most of the cautions and managed only 9th, 12th, and 15th. At Kentucky only three of the team's drivers participated, but Matt was in top form and managed a fourth place finish after readjusting his line. Jimmie Jones avoided a wreck as teammate Ray Kingsbury shouted out that he saw a car get loose on the apron somewhere in the field. Ray was at the back of the pack, and got involved in the wreck but saved his two teammates. Despite major damage Ray rushed the pitstop and got out in eighth where another driver later ran into him causing a caution. But, it was a blessing as this secured a 4th, 6th, and 9th place finishing night for the team and closed them in on SS North, but Watkins Glen saw a tantalizing performance as Last Lap Motorsports trucks dominated the show finishing 1st, 3rd, and 4th.

At Michigan, Ray qualified second but struggled to maintain tire wear, but it was Nathan who was taken out early by Larry Scott. Jimmie avoided a wreck Matt was involved in to finish third while Matt got ninth and Ray 15th. At New Hampshire the team took the points lead. Nathan was walled early on but despite that was able to salvage a good finish. The team dominated the night with 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th place finishes. At Las Vegas Ray and Nathan qualified up front but Ray managed to spin his teammate. Then after winning the race off pitlane, spun his tires causing him to be run over and be spun. Underestimating his damage he still started 1st, but it had consequences. The team finished 7th, 10th, and 15th. At Darlington Matt was strong but took out himself and two teammates as he botched a pass for the race lead. Ray escaped to finish on the lead lap and the team scored 9th, 13th, 14th.

At Talladega the team officially surrendered the lead as the 8 SS North and South drivers worked together to dominate. Matt missed the start and Ray decided it best to stick with the lead group and wait for Matt rather than try and risk pulling teammate Jimmie forward in case the duo lost touch with the main group. Matt eventually was lapped and hooked up with Ray and pushed Ray to 3rd after the SS cars crashed into eachother, but two SS North cars finished 1st and 2nd. The race went caution free and Jimmie and Nathan eventually found eachother to battle against SS but were unable to succeed but still managed an impressive 6th and 7th. However, with SS North in 1st, 2nd, and 4th, this wasn't enough to keep the lead. At Richmond a 5 point lead developed into an even bigger deficit as Matt and Nathan messed up their last pitstop call to finish 9th and 10th with Jimmie and Ray crashed, Jimmie managed 13th. The points difference was 18 points but into the final round at Homestead 2 SS North drivers missed the race due to Labor Day Holidays. This coupled with Nathan finishing third and Jimmie 8th and Ray 9th in a series lowest turnout allowed for the team to walk away with the championship as well as Jimmie in 2nd for the drivers championship and Ray in third.

Thanks to ETV-Live for their efforts in broadcasting the races and running a competitive series.
good job it would've been easier with me in a car, but ye, murican times of course
oh I wonder who got that Watkins Glen victory... cmon its okay to admit I am better than you Ray :P

LLM Upsets for GT2 Class Victory at Westhill

With the two most popular series of the New Dimension Racing league and endurance community combining to form one GT World Series league, all drivers anticipated the extremely exciting multiclass racing, rather than the simple division between Pro and Am with the two driving in the same car class regardless. The GT1 entries as expected suffered from a lower entry count, still coming out to an impressive 12 cars of a maximum 15 car split. This then allotted 3 more slots for the GT2 class, bringing it to 18 available slots. With Tomek Nogiec and my3id dominating the GT1 pole, the Last Lap Motorsports GT1 entry qualified in the bottom 1/3 of the GT1 grid. Nevertheless, Mateusz Bernat and Marius Rommelfanger were looking forward to their GT1 class battles that inevitable would unfold. However, the team knew that our most competitive chances would come from the GT2 class where the team had 3 entries. Remco Majoor qualified the #52 XRR into 3rd on the GT2 grid while Matt Kingsbury put his #62 into the 16th position. Ray Kingsbury's FZR did not make the grid until a late drop out by CoRe Racing's second car.

Starting from 9th the #25 GT1 FZR managed to climb to 8th by the end of the 6 hour race, the first car a lap down with being 2 laps down. The team beat Racing League Romania, Race Green Autosports, aceX Motorsport, and Scuderia Gas Racing in what was Rommelfanger's first ever league experience with an FZR. An acceptable result given the high level of competition in the GT1 class. In the GT2 class Ray's lack of preparation quickly showed, as none of the FZR GT2 drivers expected to race. The setup was modified throughout the race until something acceptable was discovered, the sole purpose of the effort was to give the Portuguese duo of Nuno Mutos and Pablo Santos their first ever league experience. The car finished 14 laps behind the class winner with 12 pitstops in the 17th position, beating team Wonder Girls. All in all a relative success, because it was unexpected to race at all. Matt Kingsbury's #62 was piloted by himself and a lot of Lithuanians who helped deliver the car from 16th to 6th in the grid. Elanas Avgulis' pace was quite on target and helped the team achieve this result with support from Karolis and Lukas. In the last hour Kingsbury had earned 5th in class only to be punted off by the blue flagged #69 Mafia Racing. In the end 6th place is well above the team's target of a top 10.

The most exceptional result was in fact Remco Majoor and Nathan Lamothe's drive to the GT2 class victory. After taking the lead and losing it just after the first lap Remco hung on to the podium for the majority of the race. When Nathan jumped in to do his first of two stints his consistent pace and safe driving was enough to safely keep the duo within the podium. Majoor's pace closed up the gaps but ultimately it was down to Lamothe to try and pickup the pace as he started his final stint in the 5th hour. Lamothe's pace was enough to secure second but a safety car with just minutes left in the stint offered a chance for more - the class victory. With a full course caution Remco jumped in the car as planned. But this time, he was position not only in the podium (which was the goal) but right behind the class leader. Remco got off to a good attack as the front two broke away, he looked like he would easily take the lead until the aerodynamic wash going into turn 1 forced him wide with just under half a stint remaining. This allowed CoRe Racing to open over a three second gap on the Last Lap Motorsports car. Remco faught back shaving off two tenths, three tenths, and even in one instance a second off a lap while the GT1 class leaders diced between the battle. Axel Trolle in one of the Team Vires entry had been following the CoRe car for a few laps, knowing he needed back on the lead lap in order to have a shot in case a yellow flew. Eventually he made his move and thus forcing the CoRe car to lose a bit of time. Eventually the gap was trimmed and Remco launched his attack on the exit of turn 1, using a slight run to move to the right. Through the slight sweeper he cleared the CoRe car, closed the door, and setup the entry to the first chicane. With a divebomb from CoRe succesfull defended the team was able to walk away to a solid gap and take victory in the closing minutes of the race.

This marked the team's first ever overall victory, userping the previous team achievement set by Majoor and Jussila at GT1WS Westhill race in which the team won the Am. class and finished 8th overall. This is a memory we certainly shall remember.
nice post, Ray!
Goodbye and Thank You NRT Servers, Hello BW Hosting!

Last Lap Motorsports Join the BW Hosting Community!

After a long and satisfying relationship with NRT Game Servers and their NASCAR Heat servers, the team needed to look elsewhere after moving away from the game. Now with main focuses in iRacing and Live for Speed, we decided to get in touch with Balkan Wars Hosting. And with that said, we are very pleased to announce that Balkan Wars Hosting will now be providing the Last Lap Motorsports team with Live for Speed server solutions for the foreseeable future. We thank them for this opportunity and cannot wait to take advantage of the great service that they have offered us.

This sponsorship announcement follows the GT2 class victory scored by the Last Lap Motorsports #52 XRR GT2 driven by Remco Majoor and Jordan Lavrikov at the 12 hours of Aston in the GT World Series by New Dimension Racing. We hope that with more great results like these, we will be able to further raise awareness of the BW Hosting brand and help them become one of the mainstream LFS server providers.

Thank you Balkan Wars Hosting, from Last Lap Motorsports!
We are happy to announce this sponsorship

We hope you enjoy the server.

Best Regards,
BWHosting
Thanks BWHosting

We at Last Lap Motorsports have a few new drivers to announce, and some whom we forgot to announce, that have been around for a bit. We feel that we should introduce them all at one shot.

Some of our newcomers:

Paul “Spannemann” Mante
A 23 year old German from Hannover that works in a hospital. Paul enjoys karting, and motorsports in general. He has found himself in a number of well known teams in the Live for Speed community. The most well known being Team EVO, SonicRealms Racing, and most recently Nitor Velox. Paul will join us in our bid to retain our GT2 championship lead over Team Vires in the GT World Series and hopefully we will be able to claim our third win of the series. Paul will be an important aspect of this team as we continue to grow inside of LFS and other sims.

Joel “Darrajunior” Näreaho
A flying Finn who made his return to LFS at the time of the Blackwood round as a prospective reserve driver. Darra proved to be a bit out of shape since his last outing but has since proved that he is back on pace. Darra drove last round in our 62 car but will contest the next round in our 52 car as we go for the championship. Darra’s past team is the famous Finnish team [DRUNK] Team where he was teammates with Matt.

Jake “fwj515” Cameron
Unfortunately a Chelsea fan who resides in Ipswich, England and was one of the original members of Last Lap Motorsports upon our coming to LFS. Jake was part of the original effort in which LLM drivers tried to enter GTAL and failed massively. He drove alongside Ray and Oscar Hardwick. At the 12 hours of Aston Jake helped crewchief the team to our victory generating with Ray a strategy, and information, that helped Remco and Jordan secure victory for the 52 car. Jake joins us after a brief stint at nFinity eSports. Jake too will be driving in the 52 car next round.

People that should’ve been introduced quite some time ago:

Vytautas “Excellent15” Laguckas
Another talented Lithuanian who comes from the massive Lithuanian LFS community. Just briefly after joining the team and purchasing his S2 license he proved his pace to be quite good and was placed as a driver for the 62 car at Blackwood. After both of the main team cars had failures he stepped in and co-piloted the 52 car to a second place finish (before penalties relegated us to fourth) in his first ever league race. He has been here for a while, but we owe him a real welcome for his efforts. He too will pilot the 52 car at the 24 hours of Kyoto.

Ričardas “narkoze” Petravičius
Yet another Lithuanian who joins us. He has featured a few times in the 62 car and also drove last GT Masters round. Ričardas managed to get himself into the top split for the last GT Masters race and put in a solid effort. He too has been around a while, but we look forward to an everlasting development as he learns to become even better, and his improvement so far is quite good.

Nojus “iFastLT” Vaikšnoras
Nojus joins us in an effort to further establish our pace, as well as our Lithuanian driver pool. Nojus is another example of a driver who with further refinement can get some good results under his belt.

Lukas “Talentas” Sabaliauskas
Lukas is the next Lithuanian driver who joined us some time ago and is also a developmental driver. Lukas raced the last GT Masters round and pre-qualified for split two. To the amazement of a few of us, he took the pole and held a solid pace before being forced off and not finishing the race.

Jorge “Cyclone_u2” Bento
Jorge is joining us as a developmental driver after a pair of Portuguese drivers joined for some league experience. Jorge still remains and is looking to continue gaining experience.
