I agree nice LOOKING cockpits are good, but I don't see the benefit of having them clickable. Even if other stuff was working - rain lights, fuel pump switchovers, dash controls etc - then you wouldn't be able to click whilst driving, you'd either use a keyboard or bind them to a wheel button.
Same with flight sims. The only time you really use a mouse to click virtual cockpits is for the long start up process of a modern jet plane, or if you happen to forget one of 400 keyboard combinations you will need whilst flying AND can see the switch you need to press (which is rare, it's usually tucked away somewhere that you can't easily get to).
So +1 for modelled virtual cockpits and -1 for interactive buttons with a mouse.
