I dont believe !top std works because it shows previous times done on the server, am i right?

No, !TOP STD shows the current pre-qualifiying times. The times before pre-qualifying were deleted. These are the official lap times that you see by typing !top STD.

Just a reminder:
The pre-qualifying ends today at 18:00 UTC.

Also, when you leave the server, make sure you still have the right name format on, because if you change the name before you leave the server, Airio saves the wrong name (the one that you had on last). Meaning, that you get a 1sec time penalty for wrong name format = you might not get through the TOP64.

Also, make sure your sign-up is correct and that in the driver info list you don't have any red fields next to your name, because that will lead to a disqualification from round 1.

I connected briefly to the server from a different PC late last night to check my position - had a different nick set at the time. Am now at work and not likely to be able to reconnect before 18:00.
I thought Airio only updated the nick if you set a new lap (or maybe even a better lap) though?

Seem's like I'll miss the first 2 rounds i believe.

Nope, it updates names when you change it. That's why it's always good to check it before you leave the server. Well, I can't really do anything in this case, I don't think it would be fair towards others if I let you through the round.

BTW, I just reread what I wrote before, it's not 1sec penalty, the lap time won't count at all:

What you can do, is ask someone else to connect with your LFS details to change it.

Wrong name format in server: whiterat, pwrslave - change the name in the server. And driver #49 Bill Kazantzas also has to change to a name that he has signed-up with. (At the moment your first name starts with a letter V as it shows in the Airio and not B.)

Hang on, I just realised that I *did* check before I left the server.
That after all was why I connected in the first place - to check my position. I connected, did a "!sb std" and left. If it had shown me the wrong nick, I would immediately have fixed it.

Please understand that I'm not asking for special treatment here. If I can't race, fine. (Despite having followed the rules to the letter, but meh.)

But do be aware that the mechanism for updating the name is different from how you think it is. I must now assume that it changes it after you *leave* the server? In which case, doing precisely what I did is exactly how to cock it up...

I just checked it in server, the name changes automatically right after you change it via options or when you come in the server with different name. So, you might have not payed attention to it when you check the times.
