Car Setup in Demo Mode?
Is car setup available in the Demo mode, or is it only available
when one buys a license?
All in-game setup options are available for all demo cars.
Quote from NotAnIllusion :All in-game setup options are available for all demo cars.

Yep, that applies to the whole game, minus layouts and open tracks.

Where does one find Setup?
I don't seen anywhere in Options, or elsewhere that
allow me to changs the cars setup.

Exactly where in the game is setup?

Thanks

Thanks
I must have had brain fade. I kept looking in the Options
for some sort of setup page.

Will the Easyrace setups listed elsewhere work with
this release of LFS?

Regards
Jim
Physics haven't changed for quite a while, so without looking I would say yes.

I guess I am a dumb SOB
because try as I might, I can't get any new setups to appear in the
garage.

I have downloaded, copied, unzipped (I think) to the setups folder, but in the garage, I see nothing new.

I realize now that my computer skills are not good enough to run LFS,
so I will have to find my fun elsewhere

Then again, not many of you can dive a nuclear submarine AND return
it to the surface, but I can.
Here are some things that popped up in my mind:
- setups should be copied in your LFS directory - data/setups folder.
- Remember that the setups are available for one car only, you can see by their name - e.g. XRG_setupname.set is for XR GT Turbo - XRG.
- if you are running LFS in garage and copy new setups, the list will not refresh immediately, you have to exit and go to garage again.
- make sure you don't copy the setups into another LFS installation folder (if you have more than one LFS instance installed).

I've got no idea what else could go wrong
If this thread (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=279) is where you got the easy race setups (helps if you link the thread, can't remember them all..), then 1) they are outdated and 2) have the wrong naming convention which is why you can't see them. In other words, forget about them.

You can find setups here: http://setupgrid.net/

P.S. Do all submariners have this defeatist attitude.
No, we don't
But we would never let a new guy try to operate using old,
outdated, useless data. That's a sure way to get killed.

If the data is known to be useless, why is it still there?

This is why I asked the question earlier if those setups were
still valid. All I got in return was a SA answer about physics.

Perhaps I am a little touchy tonight, as I just took a paycut at work,
I apologize.
Most of the older stuff is archieved. [Some] of the older versions of LFS can still be played and would require these now obsolete stuff.

When you find and download stuff from this forum, www.lfs.net or third party websites (not-recommended) you just have to check if they are compatible with the the current version of LFS.

Hopefully the issue with car setups is now resolved. Have fun!
Yes, all is well
The proper setups are downloaded, and show up in the garage.

And, after a bottle of wine last night, my attitude has improved
also. Again, my humble apologies.

Regards,
Jim
