WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former U.S. astronaut, Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, has died at the age of 82, U.S. media reported on Saturday.

I don't think I've ever seen the BBC news page having every single comment on their page positive (I'm sure some numpty will ruin that soon, but meh). Amazing man with a truly amazing achievement. I'd hope someone living in a thousand years time will still have heard of Neil Armstrong. R.I.P.

He was not just an old astronaut, but a visionary for future human space exploration to Mars and beyond. RIP.
