Skilfull Old Master
Hi all,

A great video to learn from a trully skilfull master. It took him 5 years just to learn hard breaking.

Met him a few weeks ago. Total gentlemen - was quite happy to spend a few minutes chatting and seemed genuinely pleased that someone under 50 knew who he was.
I'm suprised that hardly anybody appreciates this video. I was hoping to spark a discussion on skillfulness but I guess you're not interested. In my opinion, racing has become a cheap thing. The technology went totaly up but the skilfulness of the drivers didn't.

When Moss says that it took him 5 years to learn hard breaking tells me just how much skill does he have. And yeah, drivers then were gentleman.

Stirling Moss is one of my heroes. Great gentleman and even better racing driver.

This video is just fantastic.
Thanks.
Great vid.

For anyone in the UK there's a program tomorrow night on Sir Stirling Moss, think it's 8pm, BBC. Have a watch. Then the following evening theres one on either Jackie Stewart or McRae.
I wouldn't be suprised to hear that all these man--Moss, Mcrae, Loeb--have above average mind-body control. Take for example Loeb. Before entering rallying, he was practicing gymnastics. There he learned to control his body, which is just another kind of machine; same laws of physica operate on our bodies too. So he already had the basic skills which he later he applied to controll the car.

In my experience, once you learn your body and mind complex, you can become expert at anything - whether archery, car racing... you name it.

As long as you like it, you can be good at anything.

That's the single greatest problem with motor sport. There may be millions out there with these talents, but only a tiny few have the money and luck to be able to truly realise them.

Exactly. Its the same with say Lucas Odanez. Than again you have lots with no talent but money in all those GT series.
