Quote from Stealthy04 :quickest game to load that i own but yes, it would be handy.

Me too!
Quote from Scawen :I have no idea about that.

Personally I wouldn't be making LFS write to the registry. My job would be, if possible, to make LFS run when passed a spr or mpr filename as a parameter. Maybe it comes in like a command line parameter? I haven't even looked into it, never done something like that, so I don't know.

I think you can manually set up file associations, and hopefully that's not too hard.

There's my vague thoughts on the matter.

i always liked very much your approach to don't touch the system (zip file, no interaction with registry) and i really hope lfs remains as it is.

accepting spr/mpr filenames as command line paramenters and NO file associations is the best, btw for those who wan i already have batch scripts that add or remove file associations in the cleanest way -> just a double click on two files: "set_lfs_associations.bat" and "remove_lfs_associations.bat" or as others suggested using the windows explorer interface to set associations, but i reaaly hope lfs will not start interacting with registry...also as it is now linux users can run lfs, but if it becomes more windows dependent, i think also linux compatibility will cease.

just my 2 cents

/me sets it up!
IIRC doesnt LFS play the latest replay upon startup if you have it enabled in the options. Surely a little tweaking ought to be able to rejig it to play the clicked replay upon startup wateva your options say.

Just a distant memory i had from Pre S1 days so i could be wrong

hmm, i once saw a program that was used to watch cod2 demos and various other games outside of the game, i dunno how it worked, but you needed the game installed, i dont really know how it worked, but it did.
