how to make a server by using a wifi ?
so guys my play system is in my basement at my house and i have a wireless router and i get WiFi from it to my computer. the router is upstairs but my computer is in basement that's why im getting WiFi.

I tried to make a server last time, my ip address was weird, i believe it was 255.255.255.00 something like that. and when i was trying to connect to my server it said "connection time out"

I heard of forwarding port but i have no idea how that works. please help.
255.255.255.0 is your subnet mask
127.0.0.1 is your loopback

You need to go to the pc hosting lfs and open your network connection properties and find your IP address, it'll probably start 192.168

You can also find it by running CMD and typing ipconfig.

Wifi probably isn't the best idea for running a game host.
probably because you didn't port forward . Skype me when I'm online i will help you if the problem persists

Its either your router blocking the ports or a bad setup configuration in server files

Remember to allow the firewall for LFS.

Thats done!!!
To forward your ports, you have to usually login into your router, by navigating to your Local ip,

Example: http://192.168.1.1

Mine is: http://192.168.1.254

You can check yours by typing cmd.exe , and then ipconfig.

After you navigate to there, it will ask you for a user and a password, most routers are ( admin , password ) ( admin , admin ) (password, password)

Then, go to port forwarding, add your ip, and port 63392.
