The next step after Oculus - controlvr
So I've been super impressed by LFS and the first racing sim with proper DK2 support and was wondering the next step is to add my hands in VR. Got me thinking would there be any plans to add something like controlvr to LFS?

http://controlvr.com/

At $600 I think it would be worth it, you could toggle the switches in the VR cockpit, see your real hands on the wheel and most importantly to round off that true motorsport immersion give the finger to the opposition!
looked at this a while ago,

motion capture/tracking gloves with the end fingers cut off,
for about £99 ( 150 US dollars ) would be about right & will come pretty quickly I'm sure

would be about right
Oculus is supposedly working or something similar, so I think I will wait for that. I don't think there will be enough content developed for ControlVR to justify buying it, but I may be wrong, we'll have to wait and see.

It's my approach as well.

Not sure if it will be ready for CV1 but Oculus have said repeatedly that we need to have our hands part of the VR experience at some point. Everyone I have demoed the Rift to eventually tries to touch something. Even though we know it's not gonna work, our subconsciousness doesn't give a shit.
CastAR solves this (and many other things) by allowing you to see Reality+VR
Imagine a real car where the windshield and windows are coated by a reflective screen. That material is where VR gets projected on. Rest, you see as is.
You can see a very early prototype here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3HGrclGkIE
Nowadays it is even better, and at 120hz btw.
