53 Corvette was convertible. I don't believe that picture is of a convertible. Hence why i guess its the stingray concept.

I think that isn't a covertible too, but i couldn't found any stingrays wich has that type of backlights and rims. But here is a picture of the 53's Corvette, in the similar angle:
