I tried to set up a stream on twitch.tv, but for some reason it only streamed my desktop and not ingame when I opened LFS.

I'm using the Open Broadcaster Software. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

Try adding a game capture device while lfs is open, chose lfs in the list of windows. And that should be it.

Found it thanks, but now I got the problem that it does not save the stream replay in my folder.
