Greetings,

Got my Rift set up yesterday and checked out some of the free "demos". Pretty cool stuff!

Anyway, I went to try LFS with it and I get an error message after selecting the Rift option in the 3D menu - this was last night and please pardon me not writing down the message but it's something to the effect of "could not initialize" ... basically saying LFS cannot see or recognize the device.

Any ideas on what I could try first?

Just to get the basics out of the way are you on latest Rift runtime and LFS Patch?

Yes I am. I think I found my answer in the AC forum... I didn't know I have to go to the Oculus Home and find an option to "enable unknown sources". That would explain why AC didn't work either. That definitely seems to be the first thing I need to do! From what I've seen the Rift is a pretty amazing piece of hardware but it's not that intuitive to use so far. There was no mention of not being able to use non-oculus software without enabling this option.
