I don't like it when people make racist comments as an insult. If you are just joking around with your freinds, I don't really see a problem with it. And, just because someone says something racist doesn't make them a racist person. If I was being made fun of for being so skinny by a black guy, then would I be a racist person if I call him a n***er? In NO WAY am I defending the person who made that server. It does not follow the LFS forum agreement.
well actually you would be. because you know what the word "******" has come to mean for the last 200 years. when you call a black person a ****** its saying " i am superior to you because you have a darker skin tone than me and/or are of african descent"

That server wasn't named in good taste, but then that's there choice, you see the same sort of things on ANY game, you also see it in real life, so why act so shocked by it all?
Yes, there are a lot of racists in every shape, size and colour, but white racism is hit as hard as it is because of people like the KKK, BNP, and a whole host of other nut jobs.

It was more about the colour of the skin, if you had dark skin it means you was a manual labour and worked outside. The rich folk liked to be pale as to say "I never go outside ever", and many would use lead to whiten their eyes and skin.

Stupidity is always allowed since we cannot stop people from making a decision. What we can do though is to make the consequences of their decisions undesirable to them thus minimizing this type of stupidity....the choice is untimately up to the community/developers as to whether or not this type of behavior should be tolerated or not. I for one could care less what color your skin is but what I am prejudice against is absolute stupidity such as that demonstated by these people here. The whole race card has always been crap. The worst thing a person of that or any other ethnicity can do is to affirm the stupid persons beliefs/stereotypes by acting in a way that would support/reaffirm thier beliefs. The correct decision in this case is to ban such individuals from the community immediately to minimize the spread of their cancer before it goes on for too long.
Forget about race and just be a woman, or worse yet, a black woman. Prejudice exists on many levels. Personally I feel the world can and will only be improved as we move toward becoming a single nation - sadly this will never happen without a bloody big war in which the bad guys win (good guys never want to conquer the Earth), although a United Europe is a step in the right direction - unfortunately we are too worried about everyones sensitivities to get it right.

I am by no means any significant voice on racial equation but the minute humans stop splitting themselves into packs - religion, race,sexuality,football team... and work as a whole... things would progress so much better

I can't begin to express my disdain for the clowns with the racist server name spotted by the OP.

It's true that these idiots can name their server whatever they want, but if Scavier decide to implement a filter on the master server and exclude them, nobody's rights are being stepped on here. The master server list in LFS is not a public forum, it's a private service being offered by three guys to their paying customers.
It's laudable that some of you want to stick up for principles of free speech here despite your distaste for what these idiots are choosing to say, but this is not a battle that you have to take on: their right to appear on the master server list with their tasteless name is about the same as the right of a repeated wrecker to be allowed back into a server, i.e., they have no relevant rights at all.

If people start trolling with server names it would be good to be able to ignore servers. I've wanted to be able to add servers to a favourites list too. Stuff like that will probably come eventually.

Reading all this thread ive got to agree with some of it. Im not going to find quote after quote of statements i agree with but i will reply.
The server name, to me, is wrong. In todays world racism shouldnt exist. Murders shouldnt happen either but they do, as does racism. Religous wars cause alot of deaths and simply they are racism. In the perfect world nothing bad would happen - no raccism, no poor, no starving, no crime etc
As for the whole political correctness as mentioned earlier about "baa baa black sheep". PC doesnt cause any harm to anyone but it is stupid IMHO. Too have to change a nursery ryhme that is years old to 'protect peoples feeling' is stupid. The real question is - do black people really care? cause it seems to me its white people who are bothered about being PC or not.
All this reminds me of a t-shirt i once saw. It applies to racism and everything else. It said "Create world peace - kill everyone" And whats more its true, the only real way peace will ever come around is if there is no one to disagree with and since everyone has difference of opinions then it wont happen.
