Do you have any books that you could recommend? Or not recommend?

Or if you know a good book that was helpful to you. I have been thinking about buying some books about racing to make my LFS experience more real. Can you actually learn some tricks or methods from a book? Stuff like racing techniques, tactics and race craft. Can you learn new useful stuff from books, stuff you wouldn't have thought of otherwise?

DVDs:

956 In Car - not exactly race engineering but incredible to watch and does help increase your knowledge and see what a Group C car is really like on board.


Books:

Race and Rally car preperation (don't know who by) - very useful book will try and find who wrote it but I can't find it atm, written in the '80s but still useful.

Hillier's Motor engineering (something like that) - very good covers all general aspects of motor mechanics (including obscure engines/drive systems/4ws etc.). Nothing specific to racing in it though.

Bob Smith's setup guides - well worth a read if you haven't already
