Last year Race Green Events launched a new league using the fastest aids free car of LFS - V8 Racing League, this year in late august VERL is back for it's 2nd season!
And the format for this league is quite simple again - every 2nd sunday evening (except 1 week longer break between rounds 3 and 4) a group of single seater racing enthusiasts will gather up in server for a 20 minutes long free qualifying and following 200 kilometers race, visiting 5 different LFS environments - Kyoto,Aston,Westhill,South City and Rockingham. You don't have S3 licence to access Rockingham and race through whole season? No problem - the participant highest in series' standings after first four rounds will receive upgrade voucher to unlock the newest LFS environment. But the upgrade voucher is just the smallest of 2 prizes available in VERL 2nd season - series champion will receive also a small prize money of 25€!
VERL 2016 will start in the last sunday of august with 'Kyoto Summer GP' - from last years partially experimental KY GP Alternate layout league has switched to very familiar Kyoto National configuration with it's usual challenges. Round 2 will visit Aston and it's fastest configuration - Historic, well known tricky layout with lots of elevation, great venue for 'Aston Classic Challenge'. Last year's 'VERL Westhill Grand Prix' was held in the longer Westhill version, this year we will cut left after turn 2 to turn to the shorter one - the Westhill National. South City will be 4th in VERL menu - direction might be same as last year when looking at finish straight, but only turn one is common - 2016 edition of 'South City 200' will be run on city's Town Course. Final round will be held at currently only LFS's real life location - Rockingham, using it's longest configuration International long, where the quite useless first chicane will not be used,so the final round of the season will be the only one not run on standart configuration. The inaugural 'Rockingham V8 200' will be a 50 lap challenge, where hopefully the fight for championship will happen.
