There were 4 yellow flags for a total 10 laps. (IHR) Ori lead for the most part of the event, and completed the event without stopping, but [a] Paul's early pit strategy allowed him to earn the "lucky dog" free pass on the first caution flag period.
After the 3rd caution flag was lifted a solid 3 car drafting pack was created between Ori, T.Parker, and Paul which lasted until just inside of 15 to go when T.Parker and Ori tangled in the tri-oval. Each were able to continue which set up a 10 lap sprint to the finish with 3 cars on the lead lap.
Directly on the restart Ori was passed by Paul, and Ori made a very minor lifting mistake through turn 3 later in that lap which left him watching 1st and 2nd battle it out for the win.
Going into Turn 3 on the final lap Paul hugged the white line with T.Parker directly on his wing. On exit Paul remained against the apron, but T.Parker used his small gap of a draft and got along side of Paul's right rear tire. The Goc entry put his front end against his Alpha Racing counterpart, then his left front made contact with Paul's right rear tire causing Paul to move up the track a little bit, and sending T.Parker's car slightly towards the outside retaining wall. Around the tri-oval they came, and as T.Parker reigned his car back in, Paul crossed the line completing the 130th and final lap giving the win to he and his newly joined Alpha Racing team.
When asked about the event, Director of Competition, [WCL] Cornys #5, said that it was a relative success compared to the pervious event held by the newly formed Realistic NASCAR Events team. "You know, I never thought that it would turn out as well as it has, but there are admittedly still a few things that we need to work on before we hold events of a larger scale. Our lack of experience showed tonight, but I don't believe that the racing was effected in any shape. I hope the competitors enjoyed racing in it as much as I did putting it on for them. You know, that's what an events is all about anyways, the racers. Compared to the Realistic NASCAR Event it was much better executed, even if there were a couple fewer racers. The participants were also more experienced tonight, so that of course helped us out a lot."
Cornys was not alone in moderation of the event tonight, unlike the previous night. "I would have hated to see what this would have been like if it wasn't for Mirio helping me out. It would have went off still, but there certainly would have been some moments of confusion which were mostly not present tonight," he commented, also adding, "We already know 3 or 4 things which can be improved upon for the next event, and by the time that we hold it, it'll all be in place and ready for us to learn some more from."
We asked what type of event this next event would be, but he refused to tell us any details other than that it would be posted on the LFS forums within the next week or so. “I just am overwhelmed by the support that this new operation continues to get, and it’s going to take a little while before we get a hold of exactly how to do all of this. I just hope that the support will continue to flow in long enough for us to get there.”
