Yann "GreyBull [CHA]" Laprevotte champion, TEM again. [Updated]

Season 2 of the FSR Championship has been taken by Season 1's runner-up, Yann Laprevotte. Leader since round 1, he never gave up, although having to carry heavy amounts of ballast all season long(up to 50 kg). With 10 podiums, composed of 2 wins, 4 second places and 4 third places, he succeeds to Tommy Ostgaard, who didn't have the opportunity to defend his crown.

Nevertheless, Yann had to wait until last round to secure the title.

Indeed, FSR's leader and season 1 5th place runner, Alexis Georg, improved enough to be a real championship contender this time. At his season's climax, Alexis gained his first ever league racing win at Blackwood for round 3. His pace then faded out slightly, but he eventually managed to get a very deserved runner-up spot.

A third man could have been a very serious threat for the title, in the person of Pierre Peron. However, the (now ex-) E-Team member missed several rounds due to an internet connection cut, and couldn't do better than 7th overall.

This meant that like in season 1, a Tech3R representant would inherit of the final podium slot. But unlike season 1, it wasn't the Felipe Massa fan, Franck "francky3084" Artaud, who had a quiet season, but Georges-Eric "exeos" Quilliot, also known to be one of FSR's website redactor.

No major changes either in the teams' standings, as Tiger Express Motorsports became back-to-back champions. They had a much more difficult campaign this time though, as they had to wait for the ninth and penultimate round of the season to take the lead.

The title looked to be E-Team's for most of the season, but once again, they suffered from attendance drops after half way point. Even French Street Racers would leapfrog them in the final round for the runner-up slot, meaning that they couldn't do better than 3rd.

Although the official results have been announced, season 2 isn't all over yet, as "bonus round" is still to come. It consisted of a Race Of Champion exhibition event in season 1. Date and details are not known yet for season 2's version. The drivers will then shortly get back to more serious business, as season 3 will kick off in March 2011, at Kyoto Oval.
