Realistic NASCAR Encourages Drivers to Run Dan Wheldon Tribute Logos

A week after the tragic loss of Dan Wheldon the entire racing community is still in the process of healing from the unfortunate events that transpired at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last week in the final round of the IZOD IndyCar Series.
The loss of any racer is a huge blow to the entire racing community, and so is the loss of a father, a husband, and a friend. We experienced all of this last weekend as the horrifying images came to us through our television screens. We all felt that strong desire to just break down and cry for the man who had lost his life racing for something that he had dedicated his life to. We may not have known the man personally, but one could tell just from his smile, his persona and his reputation that he was a wonderful man and a passionate competitor that those who raced with him would say they were glad to have had that opportunity.
This weekend, Realistic NASCAR asks that all who are participating in the Fern Bay 300 on October 23rd to place a tribute logo onto their skin in order to pay homage to the life, legend, and legacy of Dan Wheldon.
It was a pleasure to watch you race Dan. This one is for you buddy.
