The second round of NAS.CART 2011 took place in a modified version of the Kyoto oval with a narrower track and the radius of one of the turns changed. These modifications presented a new challenge for the drivers especially on turn 3 where the lack of grip resulted on many "interesting" situations. C.Lucena had the pole position advantage over the other 31 LX4s roaring for victory in the grid, and for the first time in NAS.CART history the poleman won! Behind him C.Persico had a great race from mid field along with D.Cury who arrived third to complete the podium. The championship leader and winner of the first round J.Molina, could not get out of the hole he dug after having technical difficulties in qualifying.The biggest winner of the day was J.Fernandez who crossed the line in 4th and combined with his third place on round one pushed him all the way to the top of the championship standings.

The next round will be held in the concrete and steel canyons of South City. The world record holder for this circuit, F.Solis (Renesis) will be among the competitors. He is of course the big favorite for the top step of the podium.
