This Saturday the 24th of January, the legendary Masters of Endurance 24 Hours of Aston Grand Prix will get underway. Since 2005 this race has been the highlight of the series and a highly anticipated tradition for the Live for Speed community in general.
Championship points are doubled for this race, which means that at this point the championships in both the GT1 and GT2 classes are far from decided. In GT1 F1RST Racing GT1 is leads with #low Racing and Spdo Racing GT1 close behind, while the SK Gaming, n1Racing (new to the series and performing very well), and Mercury Racing trail a little behind. With a good result in the 24 hour race, any of these teams could be back in contention.
In GT2, F1RST Racing GT2 leads spdoRacing GT2 by a small margin, and the points spread between third place AutoMotoTrke.net Sim Racing Team and seventh place Conquest Racing is a mere 17 points. Here as well, the championship is far from decided and depending on the outcome of this race, large shifts in the standings are possible.
Our commentating team, made up of Commentator of the Year Michael "MP3 Astra" Passingham, Jonathan "dekojester" Palmer, and Ben "DeadWolfBones" Keough will be assisted by Thomas "TFalke55" Falke, and Tim "blackbird04217" Beaudet in providing commentary for the entire 24 hours via our MultiBC stream. Our admin group, consisting of Ben "DeadWolfBones" Keough, Angus "amp88" Leggate, Jan "three_jump" Grüner, Zafar "r4ptor" Iqbal, and Albert "AppiePils" Terrahe will handle the administrative side of the race.
The race starts at 15:00 UTC and can be followed in several ways:
• Live Stream and Commentary: http://www.multibc.de/Streamstarter/ (channel 2)
• Live for Speed Remote: http://www.lfsworld.net/remote/?host=Masters+of+Endurance
• Live Standings: http://www.mastersofendurance.eu/
With the support of our new partners 500 Servers, as well as ongoing partners MultiBC and DarcyF1, we are convinced that this will be another successful and intense 24 Hours of Aston Grand Prix.
We wish all the teams and their drivers the very best, and may the best team prevail!
