The Winter 200 was the final round of All-wheel-drive Winter Series 2012 and it was held in the fastest track of LFS - the Kyoto Oval. In qualifying it was the organizer Rony, who took his 2nd succesive pole position, this time 4 hundreths of a second ahead of the closest rival with a laptime of 39.32 seconds.
But the race,as usual in oval, turns everything in different positions - from the start drivers tried out different positions, tried working with different partners, but the best work still was between teammates or at least compatriotes - both spdo drivers found connection unpracticed before, after all drivers found themselves in one group after quarter distance done, the field started to spread out in few groups,in front of these was the spdo due using bumpdrafting to pull away from closest followers both latvians - Rony and Pacans, whose work didn't went as smooth as they could wish.
Even though Rony tried to escape from his coworker after finding some gap,Pacans was faster on track and cought back to leave the last lap to decide 3rd place finisher, while both leaders were still connected, but the rest was spread out by single cars. After pushing his teammate for most of the race,Reno passed him in finish straight to score his 4th win of the series. Also the 3rd place was decided by similar move - Rony beat Pacans by 9 hundreths of a second over the line to take his 2nd podium finish.
