This Saturday, the highly anticipated Live For Slicks series will finally begin! For those who don't know what this series is about, then let us explain: Live For Slicks is a brainchild by Revolutionary Racing (Kings brothers and Rui Pinto), and it consists in picking up the most exciting yet underrated class - TBO - and adding slick tyres to it, giving the series a closer feel to the Touring Cars of nowadays, providing the same close, high-contact racing but now with the extra grip of racing-purpose slicks!
To keep a certain balance within performance, the FXO and XRT have been restricted (5% and 2% respectively), with said restrictions being based on the ones specified in WTBOCS. The RB4 obviously stays unrestricted due to its weight deficit to the other two cars.
So after a helpful and satisfying test race, it's finally time to put pedal to the metal, with the official start to the season being Saturday the 14th of October and taking place in Aston, with the National Reversed track configuration. It's a track that has a clear mix of long straight lines and slow corners, but the grippy tyres might catch the unwary by surprise when meeting the kerbs.
Official Qualifying will start at 16:30 UTC with a 20-minute session, and the first race will take place at 17:00 UTC after a short break from Qualifying. Both races will be 12 laps long, and there will be another short break between Races 1 and 2, with the twist of reversing the Top 10 from Race 1 into thee Race 2 starting grid, which means that the Race 1 winner will start 10th, 2nd will start 9th, and so on until the 10th, who will start Race 2 from Pole Position!
