New Series Brings LFS Its Biggest Oval League Since LFSCAR
The Realistic NASCAR Cup Series takes the green flag on Sunday, January 6, 2013 with the IndyCar 250. This will be Live For Speed's biggest oval series since LFSCAR finished its 2nd season in 2007.
This new series will contain six (6) rounds on oval tracks with only rear wheel drive (RWD) vehicles. Track and car combinations include (in order) the F08 at KY1, XRR at KY1 (Kyoto 400), XRT at F24, FZR at KY1, LX6 at KY1 and FZ5 at KY1
Competitors will need to obtain a Realistic NASCAR license prior to competition in any event in this series. These licenses may be obtained through competition in the Realistic NASCAR Open Series which runs the Sunday prior to each Cup Series race. Those who cannot obtain a license in these events will be able to obtain a license through practice sessions for each event only after they have registered for the Cup Series.
Yellow flags will be used sparingly in this series. Yellow will only be called if it is deemed that a caution flag would keep those not already involved in an incident from becoming involved. This policy is designed to reduce the amount of incidents which occur in this series and increase the amount of green flag racing.

The Indianapolis 50km (Realistic NASCAR Open Series Round #1) is on December 30, 2012
