The rest of the grid was set based upon the duel qualifying races which are traditional of the Kyoto 400. Starting inside of the second row after winning the first duel race will be Tomas Koreny (Denny12) in the number 52 rForce entry. On his outside after winning the second duel race will be the number 26 of Filip Klier (jackkk26) who is also from rForce.

Duel race number one saw only two caution flags and some intense racing at the front of the field. Defending Kyoto 400 Champion Ramon Blauwhoff (ChristijaNL) and Rony Kronpuss (Eclipsed) both worked hard to catch the lead drafting pair of Jaroslav Dohnalik (Fast Jarda) and eventual race winner Tomas Koreny. The pair of Kronpuss and Blauwhoff were able to. However, after Blauwhoff and Dohnalik tangled causing the final caution of the race, it was Donalik and Korney who were able to pull away from the rest of the pack once again leaving their competitors behind. Coming off of the final corner Dohnalik was not able to get around his fellow Czech for this victory.

Duel number two started with a few small incidents, but all of which were out of the way and did not danger other competitors. They did, however, spread out the field. While many of the competitors stayed on track and waited for a yellow flag to make their mandatory pitstop, it slowly became obvious that a caution flag was not coming. Once all the pit stops were completed late in the race it was Martin Kapal and Filip Klier out front thanks to their continued drafting while almost everybody else ran alone. Martin Kapal was already on the outside of the front row for the Kyoto 400, so he simply opted to push his fellow Czech to the finish line on the final lap.
