Before everyone starts (to continue) their preperations for the kick-off of the new season, we have some more things to say. About 24h after the end of the Grid Qualifications we find the results of it here: http://cityliga.de/uploads/cl17/cl17_grideinteilung.htmlCityLiga 17 will start with three grids of 28 drivers each, sothat 9 of the 93 sign-ups have to start their season from the waiting list.
The field is relatively close after this first show-off (3s instead of 3,5s in CL16's Grid 1) and the first race starts directly at one of the GQ combos.
On the other hand the drivers didn't use their full potential, just 855 of 1840 possible GQ laps were completed which means a ratio of 51,9%. A third of those laps were completed at the very last day. The two servers were well filled, even during the big LfS lag of Monday.
The 93 competitors are spread over eleven nations, with Germany as usual with the most representants, many Austrian, two English and one Australian, Bulgarian, Estonian, Finnish, French, Lithuanian, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Swiss, Czech and Hungarian driver each.
Moreover 23 teams are sending in their drivers, where -nearly traditionally- the BurnoutCrew and Heroes of Racing, with nine drivers each, are the strongest fractions. Xcite Racing, IoD Racing, Racing Team Styria Wien and Team ev0 follow with 6, 5 and 4 drivers respectively.
The one or the other seemed to not have any time, for example ﾒcite Ingo21, who set the first timed lap just after midnight of the second day. He stayed at the top of the charts until 25h later HoR Schuhti came, saw and conquered the top position. This kicked of the fight for the top of the list. Slightly different was the case of Tera.MFg4Lyyy!, but still it had something to do being in time: Why should someone set his fastest lap exactly at 12:00:00 (German time), if the lunch wasn't already served?
Nearly stress-free [IoD] grsM waited until 10 minutes before the end to serve his fastest lap, not repeating -[BC]- Pierre Dole's faith, who set his best lap for CL16 GQ just after time elepsed. As relaxed as him were «BFVR»Bips, [IoD] BòÓTZ!3, 1stBFA D!Z, D3vil, FFR GEHEIMRAT, HoR hanfer, HoR spooky, Mario, Max M., S M.Kapal and ﾒcite Rubi, all burning their GQ times into the asphalt during the last hours.
