Just after the end of Grid Qualification and before the first race, it is time for our short look at the favorites of the new CityLiga season. Especially well-known faces are present again and this facts reheats some everlasting duells. Again many great drivers sigend up and one can say this is the International German Championship of Live for Speed, especially since the season again features the best Germans and the one or the other top driver from the rest of Europe.
The following text lists drivers, who, in the eyes of the author, can win the championship or at least fight for it,

***** 36-3id J.Holmes
If, with the stress on the 'if', Joe completes the season sothat the two drop results are enough for him, there is no way he won't be able to fight for the title. Last season he had more than a hand at the title until he missed the last race of the season. Joe is one of the finest drivers in all cars and at every track, just as if he was made for the CL, in which these all-round skills are rewarded. He is the the top tipp for the season.

**** 1-ﾒ C.Winkler, 3-HoR Schuhti
Cali just won the CL for the second time and therby qualifies himself to the winner's circle. After a few seasons of middle results, he had his breakthrough with the win of CL 14 at the end of 2011. He had to take a break and missed CL 15, but in CL 16 he showed that he was no one-hit wonder and develloped into one of the best German racers.
Schuhti is the CL driver with the best overall statistics. He achieved so many race wins, overall podiums and a championship, you can easily call him the most constant regular in this series. He's a safe bet for a podium in CL 17, but if he wants more, he has to push himself.

*** 4-Paddi, 24-Tera.MF flix, 69-P. Kubinji
Paddi is the winner of Grid Qualification: A title with no value, but maybe a signal for this season. One may not count out Paddi when he drives CL. But now it needs some good overall results, not just some single highlights.
Again we have to adapt to a new name: It's not Evo any more, but Tera, the new home of flix. Flix is a very fast one, always good for a win. Finishing this season and maybe it works out to be the first CL championship for the new team.
A two-time champion and some sixteen race wins in CL count for him, but his lack of motivation for the training against him. There will definately a race where the car doesn't understeer, the tyres don't heat up too much and he shines and wins it. And then, there will be other races. At the end, Patrick will make the Top 5.

** 29-CoRe C.Kistner, 77-GenR Dom, 84-HoR Ethi, 89-Tera.MF g4Lyyy
Mister Kistner of Team CoRe is one of those drivers whose times you monitor with fear in your eyes: Top times everywhere in the tracker. However, in the race it often turns out to not work as expected. BUT: The nuttier the combo, the stroger he is.
Dom is more of a specialist. There are cars he masters, others however are just a big mystery for him. Not a good initial position for top overall results, but good for surprises.
After seven seasons, no victory for Ethi. Looking at his opponents this fact won't change in CL 17. Some good results, maybe even another 4th place in the final standings are possible, but nothing more.
Just like flix, Gerrit changed his team colours and registeredd with the new impetus for the VirtualRacing.de Live for Speed Masters as well. He will notice that his results will be better at the VR events and concentrates for them. In CL it will be enough for some nice results and an acceptable overall rank. Everything more will be diffcult.

* 15-CoRe M.Paluch, 18-GCRD»Coulti«, 88--[BC]- Markus, 93-Tera.MF Rrööben, 96-ﾒcite Chis
Drivers with perspectives for good results, but not top results, gather here: Coulti catapulted himself into this category and Mr. Röben managed the author wants him to show at least one solid race in the new CL season. This should be possible. Maik Paluch sneaks up to the better places, maybe he makes some surprise. Chris and Markus are experienced Grid 1 drivers, who deserve to be on this list due to their good results.
