Another long and challenging LFSCART Season nears its conclusion. While it has been disappointing having less than 15 cars a majority of the rounds, some of the competition has been excellent. The lack of consistent attendance has led to a more than average 8 drivers eligible for the championship, mathematically.
Rony Kronpušs, the only driver to participate in each round of the season so far leads the title hunt with 167 points to Nikifor Đaković's 153 points. Đaković entered the season at Round 6, and has won all three races he has competed in so far. Martin Kapal trails on 145 points and Thorsten Ulrich on 134. These four drivers are the most likely to have a chance at winning the title. Kronpušs will simply need to finish 2nd or better to clinch the championship in his favour. Also mathematically eligible are Matthias Pipelka, Zdeněk Cagaš, Arttu Ylöstalo and Dustin Dawes.
The Team's Championship has been decided in the favour of Race Green Autosports, and the Nation's Championship has been decided in favour of Finland.
New Dimension Racing hopes for a reasonable turnout for the season finale to the sixth season of LFSCART. Don't forget about the upcoming GT World Series starting in October, and the LX Challenge in the last months of the year.
