GenR 9 hours of AS4R ready to launch winter endurance season!

It's just over two weeks now until Genuine Racing will host their first ever endurance-based event: The 9 hours of Aston Historic reversed! A lot of preperation has gone into this series and we as the organising team are ready to give as many people as possible the chance to compete in what will be a tough race for all competitors and admins involved.

The Aston Historic reversed tracks is one of the most difficult and most challenging circuits in Live for Speed. It's a combination of very fast technical turns paired with long and open straights, ideal for racing and lapping other cars. Due to the long straights it should be the goal of all participating teams to keep the downforce levels on their cars as low as possible, but the incredibly fast corners force you to add downforce in order to retain some decent amount of speed through each of them. Said fast corners are also a very big strain on the tyres, especially for the GT2 cars which usually run the R2 compound whenever it is possible. The cars used are, as per usual, the GTR class cars in GT1 and GT2 spec respectively. Only the two RWD models of the class are a choice for any teams who plan to enter though.

Since this race is also meant to be Genuine Racing's highlight event of the year, the top achievers of several GenR leagues but also leagues organised by others have received automatic entries which they may use to enter. The deadline for receiving taking up those automatic entries, which enable a team to go straight through to the main event without having to pre-qualify, will be the 9 October 2013 at 18:00 UTC.

The teams which have received automatic entries and have so far NOT taken them up yet are:

In GT1:
- Ixion SimSports
- ineX Racing

In GT2:
- Genuine Racing
- Dynamix Racing
- Conquest Racing
- CoRe Racing (2nd class entry)

And the teams that may GT1 or GT2:
- ineX Racing
- [TC] Racing
- Heroes of Racing

Along with those teams who have the possibility to file an automatic entry there are additional slots in both classes that can be taken up by signing up. Each class can hold up to 16 cars. Should there be more entries than there are available slots there will be a pre-qualifying session to determine who will be allowed to race. That pre-qualifying session will take from 16 October at 18:00 UTC to 17 October at 18:00 UTC. Qualifying itself is split up into two 20 minute long sessions per class that will determine the starting position for each car. The race itself will be started with a rolling start following a pace lap in which each of the class polesitters will act as the pace car.

Entries will close on Wednesday October 16th at 18:00 UTC. Until then all teams are welcome to enter as long as they can field a car with a minimum of two and a maximum of four drivers.

See you on track! Smile
