A viewer is now built in to LFS, which works with all default vehicles and mods too.

You can save your skin jpg to data\skins and click the "Viewer" button near bottom left of the garage screen after creating "New colours" with the new skin. In viewer mode you will find features similar to the old CMX viewer, including a reload button.

All-Wheel-Drive Winter Series 2025 - information
Eclipsed
S3 licensed

The winter is coming,in northern part of Europe it means snow and slippery road conditions as a result of snowing. What's the best way to have fun in this cold season? Pack out your all-wheel-drive car and go to a lonesome icy road or frozen lake! This is how the original idea of this league has born - take LFS's both all-wheel-drive cars, use modified road sign "Slippery road" as logo, plan a callendar to have a nice variety of racing experience and here we go - it's time for:

All-wheel-drive Winter Series 2025

At the end of the december,Race Green Events will start the 14th season of it's longest running yearly league - the one where only all wheel driven cars are used and the one where very different track types are used. Last 2 seasons produced repeating champions - in both 2023 and 2024 overall champions scored their 2nd AWS drivers championships,so the league is still in search of it's 12th different series champion. Or 3rd 2-time champion - or maybe even 1st 3-time champion. With increasing number of low power AWD cars in LFS's mods list,we can run more mixed surface rounds without fear of ending up with tyre overheating torture races,so this season half of the rounds will be run as part of Cross Challenge, while the real tyre overheating torture will take place in South City.

Season starts at the end of year in Blackwood, where Blackwood RXGP will be the 1st of 3 Cross Challenge rounds, this season running with the slowest car ever in the particular round - the 103 horsepower Prodigy AWD might sound easy to run, however everyone will be tasked to pull out of the car everything to be fast on mixxed surface track. Once again South City will be ground for highest powered car of the season - this season it is an Adda once again, but a very different car hailing from different era. The 610 horsepower V10 engine of Adda AR-Eight V10 can accelerate the rather heavy car quickly, however the road tyres will force drivers to take care in turns to bring the car home after 28 laps around Town Course.

Both middle rounds of the season will take place in Westhill - first we will return to dusty 600 meter oval, which is once again set to be rounded 100 times in Green 100. The weapon of choice is a car well known from RandomCar - Imprezzive B2,a 345 horsepower 2-door sedan hailing from Japan. Westhill Street Cup has been run for 8 seasons with RB4,this year we decided to give the car a break and bring back car originally designed for rallycross - XF EGTR-RX AWS Spec has been updated once again, losing some power and gaining some battery size, still the range is about half a lap short of race distance,so drivers will have to make some calculations to use energy wisely around the 10 kilometer Westschleifenring.

Last 2 rounds brings the season in final stretch as championships should be decided in these - the only unchanged AWS round will be run as 5th round this year. Winter 200 as always will be run with FXR around Kyoto's Oval for 200 kilometers - cooperation with other drivers is not an option, but a need for good results. Best place to end the winter season is in warm tropical island - Fern Bay will welcome AWS drivers for the last round in it's Rallycross circuit, run with a K-car type Chorus Attendanze XT-Z 4R,which last season produced plenty of excitement despite having just a 660 cubiccentimenter engine with 63 horsepower.

AWS once again will be run on sundays, however an unexpected change in LFS calender forced us to change originally planned start time for rounds 2 to 4 to avoid clash between 2 leagues - these 3 rounds will be started 1 hour earlier than others in their original start time of 18:30 UTC. The season starts at the end of old year and will keep the usual bi-weekly schedule to finish at the first sunday of march. Once again 4 individual awards are awaiting for their new holders and 2 team/nations awards where everyone can help their team or nation for better results - should be motivation for most to take part in AWS 2025!

Series schedule:
22.12.2024. 18:30 UTC - Round 1 - Blackwood RXGP (PROA @ BL Rallycross, 34 laps / 62 km)
05.01.2025. 17:30 UTC - Round 2 - NewYear City Challenge (AAEV @ SO Town Course Rev., 28 laps / 88 km)
19.01.2025. 17:30 UTC - Round 3 - Green 100 (IMPB @ WE Dirt Oval*, 100 laps / 60 km)
02.02.2025. 17:30 UTC - Round 4 - Westhill Street Cup (XERA @ WE Westschleifenring 2024*, 2*5 laps / 2*53 km)
16.02.2025. 18:30 UTC - Round 5 - Winter 200 (FXR @ Kyoto Oval, 67 laps / 200 km)
02.03.2025. 18:30 UTC - Round 6 - Jamaican Trophy (CAX4 @ Fern Bay Rallycross, 29 laps / 59 km)
* Custom layouts available as attachments

Each round will have a specific info and discussions thread in this forum section with all information of the round!
After round 5,no new sign-ups will be accepted. In last round only drivers received at least one point in standings will be allowed to participate!

Timetable for rounds 1;5 and 6:
18:30 UTC / 19:30 CET / 20:30 EET
- 20 minutes of qualifying
19:00 UTC / 20:00 CET / 21:00 EET - race start

Timetable for rounds 2;3 and 4:
17:30 UTC / 18:30 CET / 29:30 EET
- 20 minutes of qualifying
18:00 UTC / 19:00 CET / 20:00 EET - race start
18:25 UTC / 19:25 CET / 20:25 EET - race 2 start (round 4 only)

Special notes on custom cars:
Some custom cars carry elements in their downloaded package configurations which are not deemed suited for racing in our events (safety car/police lights). Using such are forbidden and in case of breach driver will receive penalty for unsupported equipment. The forbidden configurations are:
* AAEV - Police

Special notes on qualifying:
* In rounds 3 and 5 hotlap qualifying will be used, this means there will be no specific lenght of qualifying session, every driver will run alone and have outlap and 2 hotlaps. Qualifying order will be determined by points standings - the highest ranked driver will start his qualifying run last, lowest - first. Race start will be approx. 10 minutes after qualifying.
* If there is no max allowed grid (40 cars),Drivers Championship top 10 drivers will be allowed to start from end of the grid if came late and missed qualification - noone else will be allowed to start without qualifying. In round 1 this top 10 will be taken from last season's final standings.
- To qualify for the race drivers have to set a laptime during qualifying session within 112% of best laptime of the qualifying session. This does not affect championship's top 10 drivers as they may start the race without qualifying or with laptime outside 112% of best laptime.

Championships:
AWS Drivers Champion - awarded to a driver with the most points scored through all 6 rounds, including attendance bonus points
AWS Cross Challenge Winner - awarded to a driver with the most points scored through 3 rounds run in rallycross tracks (rounds 1; 3 and 6)
AWS Oval Trophy Winner - awarded to a driver with the most points scored through 2 rounds run in oval tracks (rounds 3 and 5)
AWS Rookie of the Year - awarded to a driver, who hasn't started a single AWS race before this season, with the most points scored through all 6 rounds, including attendance bonus points (award will not be given out if less than 2 rookies have finished at least one race through season)
AWS Teams Champion - awarded to a team with the most points scored through all 6 rounds (team will score finishing points from it's 2 highest finished drivers and all round bonus points)
AWS Nations Cup Winner - awarded to a nation with the most points scored through all 6 rounds (nation will score finishing points from it's 2 highest finished drivers and all round bonus points)

In all championships - in case of a tie, higher rated will be driver/team/nation with highest finishing position,if equal - it's amount,if equal - second highest position etc. If all finishing positions happen to be equal, higher rated will be selected using same system from qualifying results. If they also happen to be equal then as a tie-breaker will be used last round finishing position. In case a tied driver had a disqualification in one or more rounds,it counts as a primary rating lowering factor, when deciding tiebreak.

Points System:
Finishing points:
1st - 16 points
2nd - 14 points
3rd - 12 points
4th - 10 points
5th - 9 points
6th - 8 points
7th - 7 points
8th - 6 points
9th - 5 points
10th - 4 points
11th - 3 points
12th - 2 points
13th-40th - 1 point

In order to receive finishing points, driver must complete full 50% of race distance with single run!

Points reducement system:
*in case there are 8 or less participants in qualifying, race distance will be halved and points system changed.
1st - 8 points
2nd - 6 points
3rd - 5 points
4th - 4 points
5th - 3 points
6th - 2 points
7th and lower - 1 point

(points for more positions available just in case of late joins)
* also here completion of 50% from reduced race distance with single run is required to score finishing points!

Round bonus points:
Qualification win - 1 point (if qualifying time is equal,both/all will receive this bonus point)
Fastest lap in race - 1 point (if laptime is equal,both/all will receive this bonus point)

Championship bonus points:
Attendance in all 6 rounds - 3 points
Attendance in 5 rounds - 2 points
Attendance in 4 rounds - 1 point
* Attendance counts if a driver has started the race (crossed the start/finish line from grid on own power)

Rules:
We will not make a mile long rule book that noone will read completely anyway,so we will rely on common sence of competitors to behave and follow the basic Rules of Clean Racing. There will not be an admin in server who will specifically observe drivers' behaviour during the race. If any incidents reported/protested,we will take individual approach to each of them to decide best resolution or punishment if needed.

Basic guidelines as a reminder:
> Blue flag - you may not deny/block a passing manouvre of laping car and try a repass right after it. In qualification it means - stay off racing line and don't disturb drivers on hotlap.
> Shortcuts - 2 wheels on track at all times. Track is mostly marked by white lines, rumble strips or at least defined by paved surface, while also curbs count towards track. Overtaking outside track limits (for example in Kyoto oval on apron) counts as illegal and will be penalized in case of protest.
> Contacts - have to be avoided at all costs! With closed wheels cars bumpdrafting is not forbidden, but in case of any reported incidents it will be treated as intentional contact,so everyone has to make sure that he knows what he is doing!
> Pit exit - allthough there will be no mandatory pitstop in this league, pit exit lines will have to be respected! Everyone caught crossing pit exit lines with more than 2 wheels will receive 10 seconds penalty added to finish result. In round 5,which is held in oval track also pit entry must be respected - driver have to enter pits on apron before final turn.
> Chatting - it's not completely outruled, but still drivers are expected to concentrate on racing. In case of too much chatting while ignoring messages asking to cease chatting,a penalty may be given. In case of any abusive/offensive language a penalty will be given! Non competing observers may not use chat at all!
> Lags - if there are any connection issues, driver will be asked to improve (close internet using programs). If driver will be considered as dangerous due to unstable connection,he will not be allowed to participate.
> Button clutch - is forbidden! Manual clutch is allowed only in combination with axis clutch. Everyone caught using it will be penalized for unsportsmanlike behaviour with increased penalty for every next offence.
> Hacks/cheats - if used, you will not race with us. Ever. As simple as that.

Possible penalties:
> WARNING - any minor infraction that needs to be noted without penalty. Warned driver might receive bigger penalty for other infractions.
> 10s added to finish time - minor infractions, like illegal passing, pit exit line violation, chat misconduct.
> 30s added to finish time (1 lap penalty in rounds 3 and 5) - medium infractions like causing avoidable incident[s] without serious consequences or unsportsmanlike behaviour, illegal passing, unsupported equipment.
> 60s added to finish time (1 lap penalty in round 1 / 2 laps penalty in rounds 3 and 5) - medium infractions like causing avoidable incident[s] with consequences to other drivers (like affecting damage, multiple position loss) or unsportsmanlike behaviour.
> Disqualification for 1 or more rounds - heavy infractions, multiple incidents, unsportsmanlike behaviour. After serving disqualification, driver will automatically carry a "warning" for the rest of season.
> Series exclusion (including ban for any other events run under Race Green Events control) - serious infractions like intentional/revenge wrecking, event sabotage and any other malicious act.

Thank you all for the kind words, i'll update what you guys have found soon, however i would rather not change the skin mapping at this point. There's arleady been a few skins done for this car, and i dont want to risk any disturbance in that, and the mappings not being aligned i dont see as a huge issue, just a minor inconvenience. So meanwhile i was making skins i was thinking of suggestion that would be good for Live For Speed.

And As well improvements and heres are my ideas.

1. Suspension Damage More realistic.

Just like F1 we can have Suspension damage like this and to make it more realistic on races.

So Like a big hit can damage the suspension or contact maybe flipping the direction or just

the suspension broke totally.

2. Custom Weather/Rain/Tyre Changes/Wet Tyres

Custom weather would be good for online and offline races with ai or players. and having Wets tyres as well...

and the ability to able to change the compound Tyre for next pit stop for F9 or F11 or F12

3.Better puncture physics/model

Puncture are already in-game but not very realistic. you could drive 20 or 50 laps with a punctured tyre

but the wheel it's the same. so the more you drive it the worses it gets and model as well...

at a point where it looks like it's almost visible or visible the rim and a big contact can affect tyre

age and tempetaure and maybe giving a puncture

4. Scratches.

Just Like Need For Speed Most Wanted. Theres a physics where the part of the car you scractch it. you can

see the scratch on the car. and that would be good for realism.

5. Bodywork damage actually affect driving style.

This is a big detail to focus on. so let me show you a example.

The model could be better on a crash instead of the softbody.

when the parts goes off and affect driving. and lap times.

Front wing damage: Understeer. More speed. Less cornering.

Rear Wing Damage: a lot of Oversteer. More Speed.

Sidepop: Affect cornering and straight speed.

Floor: affects speed and cornering

This also affects more cars and not only formulas.

6: Damage on track

By a wing or sidepod or other vehicles parts when damaged it can be still there and dissapear on 30 seconds

and by spectating/boxing the part dissapear as well to avoid lag. and when a car drives on it.

damages the floor or tyres. giving a puncture maybe

So that's all my suggestion to add and i wish it could be added to the game to make it better

Thank you Smile

Quote from turbofan :Hey guys...

hey turbofan ! we did what you said, we explained this issue to the admins on discord. But the admins made the following comment and ignored us: You shouldn't have shared your account Smile. I was banned until 2026 just because I gave my account to someone. And I was on military duty when I was banned xD. I don't care if you lift my ban or don't open it at all. What I care about is that I won't be banned for 3 years because of multiple accounts. And I only have 1 account. My friend called me on the phone while I was on military duty and asked for my lfs account's website password. He was going to log in from the system to download one of the skins I made for him. The kid also entered the server with my account at that time. HOW WOULD I KNOW?

Quote from Flame CZE :May I ask how you did that?

I tried multiple ways. First I tried solution using a clock texture. It looks fine (clocks emit light) but it cannot be skinned and adjustable colors are dark for some reason. The easiest way is to define the whole car as an extra light. However, this means that the whole texture (and lights also) must be skinned and colors cannot be adjusted by player.

Therefore, I ended up with a solution with tweaked normals. The outer body n.c. level is set to zero and every vertex is connected to a triangle inside a body which has a larger n.c. level. All the internal triangles are horizontal, so the whole car is shaded like a road under it. This solution supports both skins and adjustable colors. Of course, if you crash the car or flip it over, it gets darker. BTW, such manipulation with normal vectors can be used to tweak specular lighting (for example wooden dashboard), translucent window stickers, tailights and even chrome.

"Skin regulations

DO NOT upload skins with offensive images!
If a skin that contains nudity, pornographic, racist or any other offensive content is uploaded, the skin(s) will be removed without notice and you will no longer be allowed to upload skins here.

Keep it fun, people of all ages play LFS."

Does skins that refer to media with nudity, but does not contain any of the above, count as containing anything of the above? (e.g. Zero Two skins, or literally any anime skin while that anime contains nudity)

First, by default, only S1/S2/S3 users can upload skins, demo users have 0 skin slots by default (demo users can buy slots for a very small amount of price, though).

If you upload the skin to the LFS web (do it on: https://www.lfs.net/account/skins), LFS will automatically handle distribution, so you don't have to worry about it. For people who meet you online, LFS will automatically download skins in the background, they don't have to download or do anything special to see your skin.

The template is suitable for beginners. It includes transparent shading and dirty layers for a realistic look and four default color schemes (in the picture) Smile
