I agree, most of the time they look over the top. But;
Do keep in mind the possibility that by default manufacturer's and/or retailers set TVs to insane saturation and contrast values to make everything pop and scream for attention in stores. The TV that produces most light is often the one customers walk up to first.
What I always do when I install an LCD/LED screen is set everything to default and then callibrate it to accurate values. In that case, the color & contrast on LED displays are absolutely amazing.
40" 1080p Samsung LCD TV for €500. Amazing contrast for an LCD display, it's a serious competitor to the more expensive LED displays. BlueRays and the XBox 360 look gorgeous on it.
HTC Sensation. GF wanted me to also get an iPhone 4G but 1; why get 2 iPhones and 2; I think the iPhone is the phone for the trendy gadget freak while an Android phone is for the geeky gadget freak. I hate minimal customisation and being treated as a retard while I love customising my device to my own taste. That, and I've had one of the first HTC smartphones which has been my favorite phone so far.
And also 50mbit VDSL2 internet and a HD TV subscription with HDD-recorder.
The move went quite smooth, all my stuff is unpacked and put in place. Now she's in the kitchen making something that smells delicious and I'm having wine while browsing the forums. Great feeling boys!
And thanks for the wishes and advice, especially Dadge's. I assume it comes from experience.
She and I passed the phase of being in love and made room for the next phase of mutual love, respect and recognition. Being where we are, I trust we are capable of making sacrifices and compromises to work on our relationship because anything can be overcome if at the end of the day the love still remains. If it doesn't work out, it'll hurt, but at least I know I've made the best decision at that moment and that I've lived.
Well it's official gentlemen; she and I are moving in together tomorrow!
I've been postponing it for a while but now I feel there is nothing that makes me happier than to share a living together. It's very practical too, I'm starting my own company working from home which I can do anywhere with my PC, a phone and internet. It's making me feel more excited than ever but in the back of my head I know we'll do well. Nothing is guaranteed to work out and it's going to take many compromises, but you'll never be happy if you stand still in fear of the next step forward.
A stack of Dual Layer DVD-R so I can burn some 360 games. Although, I should've known flashing the firmware was this cumbersome. Had to install XP to a secondary partition because Win 7 is on a RAID array.
Took me about 9 hours I think. I didn't try to rush things, listened to the dialog and enjoyed the level design. You could do it in 3 hours the first time if you're a clever test subject, but that would be a bit of waste of the game in my opinion.
Be wary of the back joint, it might get loose after a while, especially after a year of happy tapping. It's probably a new product so nobody has noticed that yet. Unless it can be locked of course.
Some "Intelligent" people think they have it all figured out and aren't open to learning new things. They hardly listen and prefer to just tell everyone their opinion since it's the most important one in the world.
She's not, she's intelligent, but very open to new ideas. Which I love. I love debating my opinion and get new perspectives with people or just listen to their view when I have no idea myself.
