Here is a pic of the pots. I easily pulled them off from the inside moving big white thingy.
As you can see, i also broke a wire from the Reverse gear selector. And i didnt even touch it. I just pulled the pots out of their place and snap it broke.
I think the wires are way too thin, and they are realy bad soldered.
My shifter has stopped working after 1,5 year. I can shift but only get 3th and 4th gear.
So i think the horizontal potmeter is ruined.
The shifter works with 2 pots like a joystick. 1 horizontal and 1 vertical. The vertical one works fine cous i can go up and down but left and right doesn't work anymore so it assume its broken.
When i connect to a server the gauges work fine. But when i disconnect and connect to another the gauges are gone.
problem 2:
How can i switch between the gauges? Corvette gauges don't work for a 8000rpm revving XFG
I tried ALT and lots of buttons together with arrowkeys and sofort but nothing seems to work.
rofl nice drawing.
I want to make a analog handbrake as well.
I got a shifterstand made out of alu profiles, its screwed on onto my desk and i have 2 M8 holes for the shifter but i need a joystick first to make it.
i'v added pic of my crappy shifter design.
But iv lost the pics of my shifter stand.
After almost 1,5 years of fun, the shifter is broken.
When the stick is up in any position: left, middle or right. I can only have 3th gear.
And when the stick is down i can only have 4th.
So I guess the pot for the horizontal movement is broken.
Is there a way to fix this? Just solder a new one? I don't know if i still have warranty, maybe i can send it back but thats going to cost me a lot since this box is big
i'm thinking about using a joystick throttle lever as handbrake, using the buttons as buttonbox and the joystick as a cruise control (throttle -axis) to use in LFS Cruising
