Just a little make-up suggestion.. It would be great, we can hear the "pit noise" and echoes when we stay in pitbox. i.e "pit gun" noise while changing tyres or repairing sounds.. What do you think guys?
There is a little missed point. My suggestion (lollipop man = LM) does not bring about the present turmoil in pits. Just think about Blackwood or Westhill cases. Even there is no LM, the problem persists. All drivers in pit lane at the same time, and what will occur? If the devs want to include LM feature, they will put in LM's suitable points.
After your interpretation, I have to explain the sentence. Of course there is a lack of relativity. It would be more explanatory by this way: i.e No homework as much as real weather conditions (especially rainy). My intent is no disrespectful to Scawen.
And your hesitations about limited pit area. We encountered such examples in F1 both Ferrari and McLaren. The second one must wait.
The spirit of the LFS is being very closed to be real racing conditions. It's true there is no matter what pit stop we take. But I do feel this is wrong, at least in logical basis.
And "jwardy"s suspicion is true. We can hit the lollipop man. But at the same time we can hit the cars, barriers, walls as long as we pay not attention to race objects. In order to alter this complication, optimum points should be found for lollipop man. i.e opposite directions between car and lollipop man.
According to me, this feature appproximates LFS to realism one step further.
A simple and useful suggestion. We need a lollipop man in pit area. It's hard to find the correct pit and even timing for breaking instantly. Thus the lollipop man is a benchmark for an ideal pitstop.
I mean only a lollipop man is sufficient, no need to all pit team. It does not required a huge code homework. A lollipop man wears the same suit of drivers, and plus a lollipop stick.
It's obvious that, the racing line gives more grip to cars just on it. In other words the dirty/dusty areas on track bring about less grip. We all know the implementing of the negative dirt effect during the race is a huge burden. At least the devs can include this feature at race start.
In such cases, the pole position has no advantage, if the car is out of the racing line. According to the track shape and grid positions, the cars nearby or on the ideal line can react faster than others for a few second at race start. (i.e multiplier 1.00 for ideal racing line and multiplier 0.88 for unideal line)
According to me the main point is the rollbar/cage. If these are standard parts of the cars even in the case of hardtop, the dilemma is resolved. So we can mention a weight reduction effect in the "open roof" option.
It's obvious they are necessary for pilot's safety. Via a quick search on the FIA specifications, I have found some interesting points. FIA stated a lot of standards about the the different rollcages. But I am disappointed about the FIA's website, regarding to achieve details. So the following link can give us some ideas related to rollcage standards.
In addition to this, another resource (the link below, at the end of website page) stated that, the FIA recognizes the need for safety equipment including rollcages.
As a consequence, the rollcage is an inseperable part of the body in my opinion. That's why the "open roof" case shoul be recalculated excepted for aerodynamics.
Total weights of UF1, LX4 and LX6 don't vary, when their configurations selected as "open roof". In "open roof" option there must be a slight or prominent weight reduction related to hardtop or softtop car structure.
RAC has a default configuration called as "open roof". Despite the nice shape of RAC, it would be great that the RAC offers us alternative options such as "open roof" and "closed roof", as like as UF1 and LX series cars.
Additionally, the gauges of RAC are very blurry. In my opinion this must be fixed.
And finally, the wider rear tyres contribute RAC more aggressive and powerful manner.
