You obviously don't go to the oval much :P

Try going onto a oval server with F08 or BF1s only with about 10people on there with say a 30 lap race with pit required. Plenty of close racing fun to be had there.
anyways. it's distracting coz alot of people skid a bit on the oval and if you're trying to get that prime racing line it's distracting to see rubber ahead but non in your visor and you're like 'what is going on' lol.

But it's evident in other tracks too. just not oval.

Hey guys.
I brought this up last week in the T5 and T6 patch threads. Scawen said that he would not reply to every bug post and that all bug reports are on his to-do list.

I've only noticed this bug in the latest S-T(1-7)-U patches. But i'm sure Scawen has noted this bug and is going to fix it in the next patch.
This bug becomes pretty distracting (especially on the oval)

Thanks

G'day Scawen.
I'm not sure if you seen my post in the T5 thread but you havn't seem to have replied or fixed it in T6. So just incase you didn't see it i thought i'd post it here again.

Good job on the patches

Quote from alco64 :
You cannot see any skid marks through the small glass window in any of the open wheelers (being FOX, FO8 and BF1)
Can become a bit distracting during a race. Not sure if this can be quickly fixed just in the exe but i thought i'd bring it up.

Hey mitch. i've drifted with you before
Just joined that server you are talking about. Had a poke around and found out that they are using a 3rd party app called "LFSLapper"

If you go to http://monkster.hopto.org/~janez/LFSLapper/LFSLapper.html
You'll find out all about it

Happy to help

Hey Scawen. Good job on the new patch and mini patches!
Just 1 thing which isn't that much of a biggy.
You cannot see any skid marks through the small glass window in any of the open wheelers (being FOX, F08 and BF1)
Can become a bit distracting during a race. Not sure if this can be quickly fixed just in the exe but i thought i'd bring it up.

Thanks and keep up the awesome work

wow, looks a bit different doesn't it? Nice job mate. although by the looks of your screenshots (havn't looked @ it in game) it looks like you could've done it in a bit higher resolution. but other than that it looks neato

There is a way to change the colour/pattern of the dashboard.
You must have replaced the image file of the FZR interior DDS (the texture files for LFS are .DDS)
You can manually edit this file using photoshop and a DDS plugin so you can open the files up.
The files are in the LFSDIR\data\dds and the ones you must of replaced are named FZ_Interior1 or FZ_Interior2

Hope this helps

even if someone made you a high pitch squeeky BOV i doubt that it'll fulfill your needs.

as the current BOV sound in LFS loops and sounds all dodgy if you have a badly modded sound. especially with a squeeky one it'll just ring the crap out of your ears and would be most unpleasant :P

there is already a way (bug) to keep your headlights on without holding down the button.

Just press and hold your light button then ALT-TAB out of the game and then go back in and walla. they stay on. Not that they do much :P I guess it'd be good for edited screenshots @ night and stuff.

Hmmm geez.
Reaction times are slowly getting better. (even though my reaction times are extremely high due to playing ALOT of first person shooters online etc)
I've become ALOT more paranoid (always looking over my shoulder to see if someone is about to rear end the car i'm in.. it's not a fun way to live ... )
A new passion for car games. Well, LFS takes the cake that's for daaaaamn sure (even though i dibble dabled around car games before LFS :P)
Makes me sorta wanna get my license :P (i'm 19 and still don't have my leaners.. I KNOW I KNOW don't tell me ... )

so i guess it's about even :P

Everyone gets it i'm afraid.
I first noticed that the second i got in the f08. Not really a major issue and i'm sure the devs will fix it in later releases.
I don't even notice it anymore :P

indeed, the mute would be a fantastic addition. Because there are a few annoyances out there and advertising is just one of them

Well, i've edited nearly all my f08 interior EXCEPT the RPM (etc) panel.
I think it's because it's drawn in real time and isn't just a texture.
It's possible to change the felt colour of the wheel and the metal section of the wheel just below the RPM panel. other than that, there isn't much more you can edit on the wheel.
Hope this helps

LOL, Thanks for the set. very fun/funny to watch.
But the downfall is after about 40mins of constant run time they learnt the track (i've only done blackwood rev) and how not to slide in/out of corners.
But still, good for a laugh and they pull off some wicked angles
