Quote from Ingolf :...perhaps use "Sign up" or "Enroll" instead, I guess these are more common phrases to use when applying for something?

Thanks! Just changed ... in portuguese we say "inscrição" so i thought "inscription" was ok ... once more my apologies for my bad english

Quote from NigelY :Jorge, sorry if I came across as uncommunicative on the server but my typing skills are pathetic. I'm never going to be quick (racing or typing) but if I'm around I'm willing to make up the numbers if required. I've got a homemade buttonbox somewhere with preset phrases to help with communication - must try and find it . LFS has had to take a backseat because of other commitments but it would be nice to do a bit of racing.

Nigel.

Anyone got a set I can try please?

Dont worry about beeing slow Nigel
The most important is to drive safe and not crash others so everybody can have fun and finish the races!
Im sure you will become faster with practice

Everyone in the server will be more then pleased to give you a setup ... just ask for one when you are connected to the server.

Quote from NunoMike :It would be excellent to race there... if I had a 3 pedal wheel and h-shifter...

Well, good luck with it...

PS: and some open events, probably with manual shifting but allowing auto clutch?! Think about it, Jorge...

Sorry Nuno ... but if i make exceptions then i will miss the main point on this project... thank you for your support ... hope to see you on track one day with a 3 pedal/h-shifter wheel

Abraço,

i think it would be great!

But i also think its not a easy task to do (for the rain) cause the car will behave quit different and for the developers i think it will take a lot of work to make it work properly.

Hi Cydro!

I never tryed my g27 at 100% FFB ... it would just rip my hands off!

The far i go is 40% but normaally i use it on 30-35% and i already get some strong kicks on it!

I dont know how you configured your wheel but this is what you should do:

On the Logitech Profiler (software) you must create a new profile only for LFS (File/New). Then you edit the profile (Edit/Specific Game Setting). Unselect all the options, enable the "use special wheel steering settings", and choose the degrees you want to use (this must be the same value as the one you will config on LFS options menu) ...

On the LFS menu:
Goto LFS Options/Control and config your G27
Set the degrees value to the same value as you did in Logitech profiler, and when you config the Axes/FF dont forget to set "Force Feedback" and "Remove Dead zones" to YES.

I use it like this and works perfectly!

Have fun!

Quote from Davo :Sucks to be me then, mouse user with UFR and SO track love... why all the mouse hate all of a sudden?

Hi Davo!

Nobody hates nobody ... there are other servers where you can race with a mouse ... the idea here is to have a server that makes this excellent racing simulator become as real as possible ... and where everyone who spend a lot of money in a good wheel can race in equal conditions ... i see many drivers with a G27 not using the shifter or the clutch just because that makes them slower compared to full automatic drivers.

This is not about excluding drivers ... but to promote the racing simulation (as real as possible) ... maybe one day if you have the chance to buy a good wheel you will understand what i mean

I can see a lot of drivers connecting to the server and not abble to race because they dont have the right config on LFS Options Menu.

This is how you must config:

On LFS Options/Control:
. Throtlle / Brake Axis: Separate
. Wheel turn: 720º (for G25/G27 this sould also be setted on Logitech Profiler)
. Gear Shift Mode: Shifter
. Clutch: Axis
. Configure the Axes/FF and Shifter (dont forget to set "Force Feedback" and "Remove Dead Zones" to Yes)

On LFS Options/Driver:
. Brake Help: No
. Gear Shift Mode: Shifter
. Auto-Clutch: No

On LFS Options/View:
. Default Driver View: In Car

A website for the server and a UFR SO1 event will come soon

It depends how you drive ... if you use the h-shifter the best it will be one of the buttons in the shifter unit ... if not ... the Space key on keyboard will be a good choice

Hello!

I'm a UFR and SO tracks fan and created a server only for competitions on this car and tracks.

I want to test the server with a event ... only for wheels with clutch pedal and h-shifter ... trying to keep it as real as possible.

If you are interested please post here and let me know so i can arrange a event.

The server name is UFR South City - Clutch & Shift

Have fun ,
Jorge
