Dont worry about beeing slow Nigel
The most important is to drive safe and not crash others so everybody can have fun and finish the races!
Im sure you will become faster with practice
Everyone in the server will be more then pleased to give you a setup ... just ask for one when you are connected to the server.
Sorry Nuno ... but if i make exceptions then i will miss the main point on this project... thank you for your support ... hope to see you on track one day with a 3 pedal/h-shifter wheel
The 1st event on "UFR South City - Clutch & Shift" server will take place on a Sunday (03-07-2011) at 14.00H UTC Time.
This is the 1st of 6 events in all South City tracks. After that a UFR Challenge (league) will be organized.
This 1st event will be on SO1 (South City Classic).
The event will have a 15 minutes qualifying period and 2 races of 15 laps each (1 pit stop must be done).
The event is open only for drivers with H-Shifter/Clutch Pedal Wheel.
Your inscription will only be accepted after you do at least 1 laptime below 48 sec on the server.
The server will become private 24h before the event and i will send you the password by then.
After reading the server rules and event shedule send your incription to [email protected]
3 days before the event starts the server will have the same config as the event so you can practice the 15 laps and pit stops like they will happen on the event.

But i also think its not a easy task to do (for the rain) cause the car will behave quit different and for the developers i think it will take a lot of work to make it work properly.
I never tryed my g27 at 100% FFB ... it would just rip my hands off!
The far i go is 40% but normaally i use it on 30-35% and i already get some strong kicks on it!
I dont know how you configured your wheel but this is what you should do:
On the Logitech Profiler (software) you must create a new profile only for LFS (File/New). Then you edit the profile (Edit/Specific Game Setting). Unselect all the options, enable the "use special wheel steering settings", and choose the degrees you want to use (this must be the same value as the one you will config on LFS options menu) ...
On the LFS menu:
Goto LFS Options/Control and config your G27
Set the degrees value to the same value as you did in Logitech profiler, and when you config the Axes/FF dont forget to set "Force Feedback" and "Remove Dead zones" to YES.
Nobody hates nobody ... there are other servers where you can race with a mouse ... the idea here is to have a server that makes this excellent racing simulator become as real as possible ... and where everyone who spend a lot of money in a good wheel can race in equal conditions ... i see many drivers with a G27 not using the shifter or the clutch just because that makes them slower compared to full automatic drivers.
This is not about excluding drivers ... but to promote the racing simulation (as real as possible) ... maybe one day if you have the chance to buy a good wheel you will understand what i mean
I can see a lot of drivers connecting to the server and not abble to race because they dont have the right config on LFS Options Menu.
This is how you must config:
On LFS Options/Control:
. Throtlle / Brake Axis: Separate
. Wheel turn: 720º (for G25/G27 this sould also be setted on Logitech Profiler)
. Gear Shift Mode: Shifter
. Clutch: Axis
. Configure the Axes/FF and Shifter (dont forget to set "Force Feedback" and "Remove Dead Zones" to Yes)
On LFS Options/Driver:
. Brake Help: No
. Gear Shift Mode: Shifter
. Auto-Clutch: No
On LFS Options/View:
. Default Driver View: In Car
A website for the server and a UFR SO1 event will come soon
It depends how you drive ... if you use the h-shifter the best it will be one of the buttons in the shifter unit ... if not ... the Space key on keyboard will be a good choice
i did not realise whiskey was connected for 3 minutes ... and it probably disconnected cause i close it to try i new configuration .. dumm i was ... i didnt see him connected
I dont know anyboddy eles who plays LFS online so i have to ask help here in the forum to connect to the server
I have 30MB speed internet connection ... its a good one i think ... my PC is AMD 3.2mmhz 4 cores, 4gb ram, H6850 graphic cards ... is that ok?
this is my first attempt to create a server and i ddont know much about this ...
Can someone try to connect again?
