The very first time I got a stop go i did that aswell. But now i just leave it in neutral then change to first or just put the clutch in depending on how lazy i feel.
Havn't seen the video because am in work but it sounds interesting.
And ye they'll be made of firbreglass or carbon fibre I guess which breaks into tiny pieces on impact (that's why the police had car bodykits made out of carbonfibre)
But from the what the new Toca game looks like we might see damage close to that soon, hopefully.
I'm sure it will be implemented soon enough. It can be quite annoying i've lost a few races beacause of it. For example when I was racing there was the usual 1st corner incident so i got a little Minor Damage but nothing that stopped me from racing competivly. So i went for my pitstop about 5 laps before the end of the race and it took about 7 or 8 seconds to repair the damage which made me loose my lead.
a bit annoying but i'm sure the feature will come soon
I know what you mean by the arcade look, I think. Do you mean the HUD during gameplay, like the lap counter, best lap and the split time in the middle of the screen ? If you do then i would agree on that because it does look a little arcady even though it does come in very useful at times. Maybe things will chnage a little in S3 as you may have a pit crew you can communicate with telling you your position and lap etc. And in some cars you maybe able to bring up split times on the dash etc.
But I still think it is a nice look and i wouldn't be bothered if it never changed much.
Don't see the point in it myself to be honest but i'm not saying that it will be a bad thing. it has been suggested before and all I say is the more variety the better, even if i'm not going to use it often the more people LFs can bring in surely it only makes it better for us.
Been suggested at RSC. In the patch Scawen made the yellow text stay on longer at the start but it doesn't seem to stay on long enough for some people. You could just press F12....
Maybe LFS should look at CSS and have a window that has the server rules, team name etc that you have to click 'ok' on before racing, then everyone can check. But personally I think the current system is just fine.
Also, I always wonder when i'm trying to improve what my sector times where. So when you bring up your old PB by /w pb it would be nice if it showed your sector times to.
Since there isn't going to be 3 in a team anymore, I'm a free agent so if anyone needs a driver I'm available.
If nobody does then I doubt I will be going. As much I want to meet all you guys its a lot of travling and expense to get drunk for one night. But I might change my mind nearer the time.
So if anyone needs to then please tell me soon so I can get a deposit down ASAP.
What i disliked about GTR and most probably will be the same is that you where stuck with mainly left hand drive vehicles and it just took me ages to learn of to drive on the left which is one of the reasons I disliked GTR
We can always just meet in a pub or something, we don't have to drink alcohol and if we are meeting early then we can also get some food in before the racing begins.
