Does the machine itself go into a shutdown? or just LFS?
If it is the machine it may actually be the operating system that is the trouble, not the graphics card. It may also be your PSU is not powerful enough to drive the card properly. Check the specs needed to drive the card, ( PSU wattage) then add 30% for safety.
ie, if the specs say 400W PSU needed, fit a 550W PSU.

The game just crashes and goes into blank screen. Comp stays on and keeps running.

Okay i'm still having major issues with LFS crashing.

I've cleaned the whole system.

Heres some tests i've ran while gaming.

CPU usage between 49-62%
GPU 58C
CPU: 56C
Ambient: 30C
Remote: 38C
HD0:38C
Temp1: 42C
Core: 45C

Yet i do one lap of blackwood and it crashes. Goes into shutdown mode. Left screen goes white, right screen goes blue or yellow. I turned up the fan speed to make sure things dont over heat and that helps a-little more, but still crashes. Before i put the GT400 graphics card it worked fine, nothing wrong and no hint of crashing. This was a real old card, and this new one is brand new. I took the advice of downloading the drivers online. Still nothing.

cheers for the advice. But this is a brand new build mate. After the old graphics card let go i rebuilt it to run 3 screens. So its dust free. And has top of the range fans to keep it cool. Ive been on it and seam to beable to race again but sometimes i does crash

What do you mean by daul boot? It ran real smooth before the graphics card broken down. And it wasnt a new one it was 3years old. Very strange

Hello all,

I've been having issues with LFS. When i go onto lfs and start in a race the game freezes, Not too sure why. I have the latest version installed as i re-installed it. However still getting these issues.

The game worked fine on my old graphics card, however this failed. I went out and brought at brand new GT440 graphics card by Gforce however now i have the issues.

Spec.

GT440 Gforce graphics card.
3500+ AMD processor
2.20ghz
2x 4.00 GB Of ram
3x 800GB of hard drives

When it crashes.
I load up LFS as normal, now i've tried this in multi player and single player. I load the game, load the car and track, sit on the start line and all is fine. I then get to turn two or 3 of any track and it Freezes for about 1 minute and then allows me to carry on, but after the next few corners it then crashes, it does into a white screen.

Any Advice?

LFS went mad and wouldnt load and kept coming up with out of rang on my comp screen but everywhere else was fine. i did yes click un-install within Cdrive/LFS

I've just had to re-install LFS on my comp and lost all my drift setups.

Can i retrieve them? Had to uninstall as the Screen res went onit and crashed LFS and had to re-install.

Please dont tell me i cant get them back

Ok ive designed a skin, but i have had a skin from someone else that is 2048x2048 and they have uploaded it onto LFS.

of course im S2 not demo racer but why can they upload it when they can only be 1024x1024?

but every time i go and place this it looks shit? even though its a very good quality?

BTW this SKIN is privet & my first ever skin! And should not be used as its a copyright to myself.

I own a ford escort RS Turbo S2 on a Dreg, well I brought the car and not one problem. So I started to get it track ready and did a lot of engine work and tracking jobs, upgrade turbo the works. Well,

I knew this girl and we started to chat back when I was building my car, she was a hottie, I mean, a stunner. Anyway 2 years later I decided to contact her and said ‘’ill come collect you tonight and we’ll go out for something nice to eat and a few drinks’’ of course I’ driving so I was drinking Coke. I’ve not had one problem with the car but hell, this came as a shock. I go and collect her, she gets strapped into the harnesses and make sure she is in ‘’wasn’t planning on driving fast’’ its dark and quite clear, I have HID’s to lighten up the road some more so they was cool, I pop the window down about ¾ and get some fresh air, also have the sun roof open a little. We started to cruise down this country lane, bouncing about because my car sustention is hard. I head down this enjoying her company then Wash, the window falls down, totally off its runners and I’m there trying to stop it falling out the window, normally ill ask a mate to grab the steering wheel but here I didn’t feel confident, with nearly 256bhp and lots of power I really didn’t fancy it. Pulled up, turned the engine off, and then put the window back in place, have some handy tools. Sorted. So off I go switch my fuel pump on and go to crank the car up, just turns over, WTF…. Battery is starting to go, I then noticed I didn’t turn my alarm off fully, had enough power to get the engine to run and yes…

Then behind me I see this car coming quite fast, BM ****ing W. Pulls up beside on this country road and here’ me thinking WTF, I think he wanted a race, looked to my left and there she is, ‘’I say’’ shall i? She replies with, hahaha you’ll lose and make a fool of yourself, so off I go, crank it down a gear and floor it, front end all over the place thinking SHIT SHIT SHIT, sliding towards this BMW. Let off the power a little and then try progress it. Then Floor it again and I here the turbo Spoil and the chatter from the waste gate and POP, the loudest bag I’ve ever heard. Figgerd this out and then taken her home.

She loved it that much I got woppy,(sex) the following day.
