I'd also like to see improved AI. I super like LFS' AI because they actually drive the same cars as we do. I would like to see them learn more and so they also get used to your driving. And quicker.

What would be funny is if we were able to train our AIs and share them with others "look, mine is damn good at outside passes"

we have the DTM every week with the FXR. Season 3 will start in February. The sign-up will be open next week

Thanks, but I was looking more for something with varying cars also. But it's just a thought, at the moment I'm more interested in pick up races or an open trackday, as I have to be flexible with when I find time to race.

Thanks for the input guys!

I'll try to join the limited servers first and get some laps in before trying which 'mixed' server really is mixed!

Is there any drivers club / dedicated server around that just runs a specific car/track-combo every week with a pre-planned schedule? That would be great for diversity!

Cheers

What to do if you want to drive a car nobody else drives?

Well, title says it all!

I'd like to take the Raceabout online but the servers who run only RAC/FZ5/LX6 are usually empty when I'm on.

Is it ok to use a car that is allowed on a track although everybody else uses a different one or is it considered unpolite to not follow the common car choice?

Sorry for the perhaps stupid question!

Yes, nothing is perfect, but anyways it feels much much much much better than what it felt like for what was it? 4 years?

What happened to the tyres!?!

I have been with LFS since the demo days and always appreciated its approach etc. but having learned how to sim with GPL and early being spoiled with netKar namie I never liked LFS tyre physics. The last ones I had tested were shortly after tyre temps had been implemented and they still sucked IMO.
Now I got a new computer und installed LFS to test my hardware (because it always works flawlessly) and what do I notice?

It's perfect! Tyres regain grip properly and I'm finally able to drive like I would drive a car!!!

I spent some hours now with the FZ50 and the Raceabout, the latter which is finally driveable and the fun it always was supposed to be, soon you'll see me online!

When were the physics so dramatically updated?

Good night all from a happy ben who finally is happy with LFS!
