Hello, I'd like to share these textures I made for autocross barriers.
These textures are 16x16 stretched to something like 32x24(don't remember exact resolution)

I tried the 1-st bioshock after this, but just didn't like the dark enviroment.

And where can you buy the laptop from?
I'm afrade you can't get anything decent in that price range, you can get a decent laptop with quad-core cpu, but I doubt that it will have a decent gpu, you could always settle for a i5.
Or you could always check used stuff.
From Estonia I found a new HP Elitebook 8460P for 729€, but that's Estonian price, don't know the prices where you want to buy the laptop from.

My crystal ball is broken, so you're going to have to tell me your system specs, there may be many things wrong, and probably the graphics driver update had nothing to do with it.
Few things you could do:
1. Open up the case, check in what condition the capacitors on the motherboard are.
2. Run Memtest, boot it from CD or USB.
3. If you manage to get to windows, run HDTune, or you can check if your motherboard manufactor has special utility which you can boot from usb of CD.
About RAM, you can try with only memory stick.

Looking at english ebay and damn, 450d's cost a lot there.
Mine cost 190€, had 2 batteries, charger, kit lens, 2gb card, neck strap, and had done only like 10k pictures.
If you can't get a 450d for a decent price, you can check 400d, not that big difference.

Something simple, I added a untouched version and a version like you asked for.
£150 isn't the price range for new dslr's.
You should get a Canon 450D with a 18-55mm kit lens for that money.
It doesen't shoot video, but the picture quality is pretty good.
