you forget one thing it is a dark studio
the light is the only reflection you see
so there is more than enough shine.
you even can see the floor in the car.

here I have a rendering with more light
so you can see the wheels better.
I know the rearlight don't look good, I'm still here doing.

it's not the luster of the chrome what the problem is.
but the model headlight I've made.
the lens is different than reallytie.
there is failure.
I use the same chrome as the grill.

I had almost the same problem,
look at the headlights



this was the solution:
If you have modeled as a glass-sided 1 level, the template geomtery use thin glass, and is the glass modeled as a mass (with thickness so) than the template glass - use solid geometry.

an update,
I have smoothed the back
and made the rearlights dark.

After hours of reading and trying tutorials.

I still practice with the lights
