OK, there seems to be alot of questions still about installing LFS updates on Vista and I have not found the most basic solution to the problem in the forums yet. I might have missed it and this could be a repeat of someone else, but this is what I found:

OK HERE GOES!!!!

1. First of all download the file to the Desktop and extract the files to the desktop so you can see the files contained. These should be the Data, Docs, LFS (game link) and the patches Readme file.

2. Put the LFS (game link) and Readme into whatever folder you wish to open LFS from.

3. The Data and Docs folders go to a different location. You will need to show hidden files for this. This is the destination required for these two files. C:\Users\(your user file)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files......and from there whatever file name you put the LFS (game link) in so it looks the same. eg. mine is \Games\LFS and then you copy the two folders into there.

4. That should be it, nice and basic, now all you need to do is click on the LFS (game link) and GET ON TRACK!!!!!

The racer that has started this league is a very poor racer.
I would recommend that the people interested in this DO NOT take part!!!
He is not only a bad racer, but blames others for his mistakes.Just a warning for you all

it is very close to the start of the first warm up race now. still no confirmation on anything!!!!!

My guess is that it is still happening

I was wondering what server this will be on - what is it called if you have picked one yet. There are very few ovals with this car selection and I feel I could do with a bit of practice

i would love to join this but like a few of the others have said it was too short notice.
I would be able to make it next month (at the moment I have locked myself out of LFS to get some college work done). But if this league was running next month I would be in!!!

I have thought about making my own a few times now.
But when you read the forums that are meant to help, it seems to make me more confused .I find its usually best to just ask!!!

I currently have no setups for any of the cars and it looks like TeamInferno only have one for the RB4. Thats a shame coz in my opinion the RB4 is the worst car in this game.

Will anyone be so kind as to agree to send me a setup for FXO?

I can see most of the servers but not the ones I normally use.

When I looked in the Windows folder to change what was suggested, there was no \Hosts folder in \etc.

Does anyone know if I could find it somewhere else
