How can u possibly try and argue about me telling you not to type, rules are rules no matter how many people are racing. When I take time out of my life to help YOU and the others, I at least expect you to have read the rules. Talk as much as you want in the vent channels, but no typing unless it is needed, simple no???

If it was up to me you would get a 10 point penalty for swearing (+ typing again) as you left. Next time bye will be good enough

Well done. Not the most exciting race to be in OR to watch. At least the lack of drivers saved us from the carnage I thought it would be. A few crashes here and there but nothing major really.

OK, there seems to be alot of questions still about installing LFS updates on Vista and I have not found the most basic solution to the problem in the forums yet. I might have missed it and this could be a repeat of someone else, but this is what I found:

OK HERE GOES!!!!

1. First of all download the file to the Desktop and extract the files to the desktop so you can see the files contained. These should be the Data, Docs, LFS (game link) and the patches Readme file.

2. Put the LFS (game link) and Readme into whatever folder you wish to open LFS from.

3. The Data and Docs folders go to a different location. You will need to show hidden files for this. This is the destination required for these two files. C:\Users\(your user file)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files......and from there whatever file name you put the LFS (game link) in so it looks the same. eg. mine is \Games\LFS and then you copy the two folders into there.

4. That should be it, nice and basic, now all you need to do is click on the LFS (game link) and GET ON TRACK!!!!!

Sorry, I thought that if there was a crash under caution I was meant to go back in the line where I started if there was enough time and space to do so. My fault, must have misunderstood the correct thing to do.

I am not making a big fuss. The idea is that I report anything that happened against me. The only thing I am not sure of is how much detail is required, so I just wrote a quick comment of description. It caused an accident, so needs reporting.
If you have a problem with that then sorry to offend you, but my complaint is fair. Just because my race was ruined before it began does not make it ok to hit me (which from your comment seems to be your feelings).

RACE INCIDENT REPORT

Lap 5: #11 hit me under caution phase. When replay checked he was still accelarating when he hit me, didnt brake untill damage had been done.

After how well all my practicing on the reverse track went spectacularly wrong, I will choose to stay off this layout untill the day of the race now

I think I did the most practice only to have my race go wrong before it even started. Turns out practice doesnt make perfect.

Also, if someone could upload a replay of event one somewhere (plz Fish) as I couldnt save it = stupid LFS. My race may have been short, but I know at least one car hit me even then. THANKS

This alternative idea really worries me - especially on the reverse where peoples skills on it will vary massively. Just to put another idea in your head, would it not be ok to have two drivers released at intervals. That way it could almost half the time quali will take from practice. Of course this does mean racers will have to concentrate a bit to keep out each others way, but I think that might work. Anyway, like I said just another idea.

PS. I have changed my skin and of course my name to FM. If the skin change is a problem (too late, too much work etc.) just let me know.

I have a problem with that now anyway. Because I was not going to report the problems, I never saved the replay.

I know that the race overall was a disaster but I also think there were many positives that mean people should stick with this.

For starters the short race went almost without fault, I think only two crashes (unlucky Fish!!!) which is what you would expect. Also when we actually got racing, again no problems.

A few other changes that have not been posted up yet but were mentioned on Vent. I really do believe that the pace car phase is too long. Agrivated drivers have nothing to do but sit and get more annoyed and be worrying about what the cars around are going to do at the flag. I too made an error on the restart and caused crash three (sorry again :schwitzand I would consider myself a very careful racer.

Another idea on the restart that I liked was this one. After the pace car pulls into the pits, I think that the front car should be able to speed up as they wish from then, but cannot loose speed/brake once thay start to build up the pace. This gives the advantage to the front runners (like it should be) and not the backmarkers.

As far as the reports go: I think I experienced three seperate offences but as it is a practice, I will not rock the boat by reporting these this time. However, I am curious to see how many points I will loose for the incident I had

I think that there would be nothing wrong with waiting a couple of weeks. It looks like that is the easiest of the choices

I agree, the reverse track really is hard to get used to. I am just about used to the feel of the track on my own, but have no idea how well I will do withother cars on the track aswell.

Practice would be good!!! you know what my racing ability in the UF1 is like from the racing in CLC. The verdict is...........could do better
