I thought I'd be the king of the land with my 8800GT, but in lfs it just performs like arse. That could be a big part of your problem. Either buy Scawen an nVidia card or get yourself an ATI

Buildings give off heat, so park close to one when it's freezing. With the driver side facing the building. I learned this through having a frozen lock several times, swearing, heating up the key, adding stuff to clear the ice from the lock and THEN checking the passenger side door, which was fine

are you picking lfs from the list or directing the nvidia program to lfs yourself? I tried the first, didn't work. The latter did. If that doesn't work, maybe you could try beta drivers, if they aren't the ones you're using already.

Funny, I always thought slapping on larger diameter wheels would make the top speed higher, given the higher circumference, thus increased travel distance per rpm of the engine. Of course the engine would have to be capable. Plus, touring cars do look better with large rims and low profile tires

does clicking this http://www.lfsworld.net/remote/ do nothing at all? You might need to install the latest flash. Basically it's a spectator addon, that allows you to spectate any given server that allows it. Not sure if there's a user limit

The skins the game downloads automatically, are not for you to use as you own. Though some don't mind, others have team skins and so forth. I'm assuming these skins are what you're talking about.
