I'm not sure exactly how to join servers on a LAN in lfs, as I have never tried it. But maybe you can type in the local IP of the host PC in the join specific server thing.
How do you connect to the internet? I doubt you are using a way that makes your PC's avoid LAN with the others. Could be possible I guess, but unlikely. Maybe solving the hosting issue would be better, I don't see any positive sides to using a server outside your LAN yet.

hmm, then it might not be the same thing I had at all. But there was some onscreen display thingy in that 3rd party program. This caused LFS to not display at all. Got help for it on this forum too.
Do you own an ati card? If so, do you have any 3rd party programs installed for it?
We've raced some AI's a couple of nights, and the only solution we could think of, is this. Giving the AI a stop and go "/p_sg ainame" before the last split and then when it has reached the point of no return, you clear it "/p_clear ainame". They will stop for 10 seconds anyway, but it still counts as a pit and they will take on the fuel needed. Of course it will have to be done before the others pit, but at least it takes a load of off the pits.
